Will it be a Democrat....... Someone deserves quite a pat on
their back for giving the Iraqi women... freedom
In Iraq under Saddam, women were beheaded, tortured, raped, murdered
Iraqi Women Leaders once slaves, with no rights no respect, say:
We all like Iraq. We all like America. And we don't want them let -- we don't want them to leave us. We need them, because we have open borders, and we don't have army and we don't have trained policemen, so we need them at this time. And we ask them to not leave us, please, at this time, because this is a very, very difficult condition for us. Our children like you, our children want you to stay, and all Iraqi people like your forces.

Thank you very much.

US and Iraqi forces dont even control all of Baghdad, after more than FOUR YEARS. Most of Baghdad has no electricity, no running water. While US soldiers drink water pumped from the Euphrates and incompletely sanitized, Iraqi hospitals close daily for lack of supplies. Private contractors, some making more than $160,000 USD a year, have the duty to move Army medical supplies from the Baghdad Airport to the Green Zone.

$160,000 to move needles and bedpans 10 miles. YEAH Im sure glad we gots us some Democracy going on over there. I understand its hazardous work, but whose fault is THAT?

In Bush's Press Conference a couple weeks ago in the Rose Garden:
"Q Thank you, Mr. President. You say you want nothing short of victory, that leaving Iraq would be catastrophic; you once again mentioned al Qaeda. Does that mean that you are willing to leave American troops there, no matter what the Iraqi government does? I know this is a question we've asked before, but you can begin it with a "yes" or "no."

THE PRESIDENT: We are there at the invitation of the Iraqi government. This is a sovereign nation. Twelve million people went to the polls to approve a constitution. It's their government's choice. If they were to say, leave, we would leave.

Q -- catastrophic, as you've said over and over again?

THE PRESIDENT: I would hope that they would recognize that the results would be catastrophic. This is a sovereign nation, Martha. We are there at their request. And hopefully the Iraqi government would be wise enough to recognize that without coalition troops, the U.S. troops, that they would endanger their very existence. And it's why we work very closely with them, to make sure that the realities are such that they wouldn't make that request -- but if they were to make the request, we wouldn't be there."

Justify that with this please:

Most people here think we should mind our own business by now. It seems like every week that another group of aspiring, smart, strong young adults get killed in some car bomb on the side of the road. Thats what I don't like about our military; its like committing suicide at this time. You see young adults going into the military saying how it will make them stronger, better in life and be a good experience. And then they get killed. Then its just a life wasted on something that isn't getting much better. Its just getting too much to bear. Since, the soldiers did the handy work, I think they deserve the credit. Not their kamikaze leader. Keep those soldiers in high spirits and protection until they come home. I can only imagine what they are and have been going through.

the sorrowful factor with Obama taking credit for the troops leaving Iraq. is this grew to become into arranged in the contract with Iraq earlier Bush left place of work. The Obama administration is barely complying with that contract. by utilizing being basically advisers, does that propose they have not got any weapons? in the event that they have weapons and can nonetheless be killed, how can they be non-combatants? Can they no longer shield themselves? maximum of questions , yet no person to reply to them in the White domicile.

He can have credit for all of that. But the bad things outweigh the good ones, and the cost was way too high. And if he gets credit for freeing Iraqis, does he get blame for not freeing all the other oppressed people in the world in countries we haven't invaded? Only if you believe that we invaded Iraq for that purpose, and we didn't - we did it for our own national security reasons, which turned out to be false. So this question is really silly and irrelevant.

Sounds like someone sold you the goods.

Don't go around operating under the illusion that we "liberated" the women of Iraq. That was Afghanistan! Women had more civil liberties under Saddam. The way Iraq is currently headed, it will be a Shi'ia state run under Sharia law, much like Iran. Back when Saddam was in charge, women weren't required to wear hijabs (Saddam was a secular Muslim).

I'm not sure of what "good" your referring too. If the government would allow the media to cover such things I might be aware of them. I would be willing to pat anyone on the back for any good deeds that may have taken place there. But not having any idea what they are, I'm not able to.

I hate to burst your bubble, but What freedom, Haven"t you heard about all the people being killed in Iraq. Believe me it is not just men. Women and children are among the dead. They have been killing college students and their professors that was on the faux channel yesterday(fox). Most have ran to Syria to stop from being killed. Believe me this is the other side of your coin.

yea right. Iraq once had an army until Bush and Dumbsfeld disbanded it.

News brief for the day, Bush senior told Iraqis to rise up against Saddam and then sat back and watched Saddam gas his opposers.

Do as most other nations do and die for your own freedom. Stop trying to have others die for you. The US has fought a civil war and a civil "right" with their own blood sweat and tears. South Africans died to stand against the evils of Apartheid. Scotts and Irish died fighting Great Britain's evil rule. Bush Jr. decided that the Iraqi army was no longer needed. He should go to Iraq and fight in the streets of Baghdad shouting bring it on...

The "Goods" are societal norms. We don't brag about them because they are what we all do in our every say life.

Simple things like helping the needy or the elderly is what we all do every day.

No one needs to brag that they did not murder women and children.

But when someone does it really stands out as a bad thing.

Go Team Bush Go
