Bush knew all the right words to say at the time for all the wrong reasons. He looked honest at the time, like he had the peoples best interests at heart and so we gave him a second chance to change things for the better. As time went on we realized he didn't change things for the better, he changed them for the worse. We also realized that he and his administration were covering up some very illegal actions to which he should be held accountable for. He has disappointed me greatly. What I thought I knew for years about his ideas and how his administration would run this country was all wrong. He does not listen to his people anymore either. A person can change their views on him over the years as he changes over the years. Many people believed him back then. But I do not now. He has not even done alot of the things he said he would do in his entire time he has been in office and yet he has done plenty that he shouldn't do.

because...time and time again, when logical people (even fromt he outset) were arguing that this was about oil, there were those who were caught up feeling that to question the President was Unamerican.

Fox News sure had its day, and mesmerized moron after moron took to "sticking to their guns" and responding to anyone who disagreed with them by calling them "Unamerican" or "communists" or claiming that they weren't supporting the troops.

And so, almost eight year later, yeah...these people, well, here we are. Finally, after lie after lie was brought out, there are *still* people who believe the GOP is credible and able to run the country.

They bought into Bush's speech writer and still believe, after all the bungling and idiocy, "that you're either for them or against them."

Even in Yahoo, you'll see people who honestly believe that had Al Gore won, "Americans would be praying to Allah."

The fact is, after 9/11, a monkey could have done a better job. What was George Bush's first major decision? Let's get'em! Did he? Of course not. He didn't see catching Osama Bin Laden nearly as important as starting a military quagmire in Iraq and infuriating the Middle East.

Gore would have done the exact same thing, except, Bin Laden would be behind bars while Iraq qould still be crippled by the same American snactions they had been crippled by for years.

Republican dumb stubborness put us in this place. You'd think anyone who had voted for Bush would feel a little silly about it. But nope. Dumb stubborness.

**and...answers above, he was *never* a good president, he was a LAME DUCK until 9/11 and then he became a complete and utter disgrace**

Because of Roves well oiled smear machine, the constant barrage from yell radio, supposition and lies, ect, and Kerry not realizing that people were in fact listening to all of it. Kerry was under the mistaken impression that people were smarter then that.

Also the never ending appetite from the public for more sex, lies and violence in our news reporting and the news not doing its job.

This time around, the Dems took Roves play book and shoved it where the light doesn't shine while answering all the republican and right wing slander and hitting the republicans back where it hurts.

I hope this answers your question.

Peace

That's a very good question. I have asked many people why they voted to re-elect a buffoon like Bush, and they simply can't come up with a good reason! I think they are quite ashamed by it, in fact.

At the time he was a good president.

Most presidents in their 2nd term go bad. Look at Clinton and Bush. Both of their terms went down hill 2nd term.

"We" didn't elect him; members of the Bilderberg Conference selected him as President, probably at its 1998 meeting. Few Americans vote anymore, and votes are not 'counted' honestly and accurately anyway. The person who wins is the person whom the wealthy elitists and corporate campaign contributors WANT to win. They juggle it around between Democrats and Republicans just to make it look legitimate. -RKO- 06/12/07
