I am a liberal for many reasons. On here I read from each side that the other isn't patriotic or the other wants a dictatorship, or the other wants terrorists to take over the country. Are you serious? We exercise what might be the greatest right given to us in this country (freedom of speech) and are accused of being anti-American? Isn't that being anti-American?

Why can't both sides realize that the other side wants to do what's best for the country and they have different ideas of making that happen?

If you believe that everyone in Congress or the Senate is there for altruistic reasons, or that almost all the ownership of wealth is among the top 0,5%, "they did it the old fasioned way, they earned it", you need to wake up and pinch yourself.

The rich didn't get rich because they earned it! They got rich on someone elses back, and with a little help from their friends. A good example is 3 tax cuts to the rich, who damn sure don't need it, budget cuts for the poor, and corporate welfare like hasn't been seen before. They can't burn the money fast enough!

If you think that those with influence and power naturally want what is good for the country just need to take a look to what some are doing to it.

If you think a war to get control of a country that has 1/5 of the oil reserves was for our countries sake, well I don't want it. It has cost too many lives, and we are benefitting so much we are headed back up to $4.00 a gallon of gas, as they ship millions of barrels of oil from Iraq to US oil companies, who had been shut out by Saddam!

Realistically there are many people who only protect their wallet, and they will do it any way they can. They don't care for people, they hate blacks, Mexicans, people who don't speak English, liberals! They hate the constitution and try and attack it in every means possible, breaking treaties along the way.

The bootom line is "ask not what you can do for America, ask what America can do for you"

Do I believe thet they just have a different approach? No, it is the same as it always has been. Can't work 12 year-olds in this country, just outsource it to China or Mexico. Is that in the best interest of the country, or their pocketbooks?

Beware of those who wrap themselves in the flag, while taking away your liberties!

The Ratpublicans and Demorats have their own agenda which has nothing to do with the best interests of this country.

One prevailing theory is as follows:

These agendas benefit large multi-national, trans-national corporations as part of an effort started in the late 20th century called "The New World Order" under George H.W. Bush, continued under Clinton and then George W. Bush.

That is by running the world through large, stateless, borderless multi-national corporations, the power elites can govern the world and give people of different nationalities the ILLUSION that they are governing themselves; when in fact, pure economics controlled by these forces actually govern the non-elites' lives.

If this is true: I say get rid of the robots and put some real people in there.

Based on past evidence, this is often not the case. Sure, many politicians start out with good intentions, but quickly submit to personal interest, not the interests of the American People. If they were more concerned with the good of the country than thier own personal interests, they wouldn't be so reluctant to address things like porkbarrel spending.

Because they don't want to do what is best for the country. If they did the following would have been accomplished:
Reform the tax structure
Fix our border
Fix social security

And these are just 3 examples there are thousands more. The sad fact is the government no longer represents the people effectively.

If you are talking about the voters, the Yes I agree wih you. If you are talking about the politicians? NO

All I have to do is listin to what they say versus what they do. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are two glaring examples for me.

Said with some glee. "This war will meand we gain" x "seats in the house and" y "in the senate in the next election!"

Harry Reid said this among other things. If all they care about in the war is gaining seats and political power and not our national interest or the lives of our soldiers then I have no use for them.

Both sides can't be right and it's possible that neither side is right. As always, the government that governs best is the one that governs least. Let the people run their own lives.

I think many leberals are willing to have us sacrifice many things to achieve their ideals. Liberalism flies in the face of human nature, so force must be used to get the populace to comply. Many times, diversions like sports and American Idol will suffice to distract the populace from seeing what is happening to them.

The GOP has the pulse on what the people want in this country. Look at the past years elections. With the exception of this year, the GOP has been growing exponentially. It is a reflection of the nation as a whole. We are a growing Christian Conservative nation.

As long as Bush remains in office, no one really cares.

Action speaks far louder than words.

Let's see a bipartisan impeachment proceeding that removes Bush from power and I'll start to believe that both parties care enough about what's left of our great nation to think otherwise.

It's that bad, folks.

I think both parties have special interests that conflict with their duty to protect and serve the people.

when you have to collect$100,000,000 to run for president, they don't get that from Joe at the barber shop, believe you me.

our political system has evolved into both sides of the same corporate controlled coin.

if not......why are we still in IRAQ? weren't the great Dem's supposed to take care of that? not as long as the military industrial complex can afford to buy/lease their vote........

If you are so pro free speach then please explain why the left is gunning to put the (un) fairness doctrine into existance which violates my right to listen to what I choose. If the liberal point of view were so popular and made so much sense Air Head America (liberal talk shows) wouldn't be going bankrupt with next to zero audience.
