Not only are they begging Rosie O'Grosso to come on board but NBC Universal will devote a whopping 75 hours of air time to showing Al Gore's "Live Earth: The Concerts for a Climate in Crisis." And if Gore decides to run for president in 2008, (not so much if, but when he will announce) the event would be "one of the largest ever, if not the largest, in-kind contributions to a presidential campaign," This according to The Media Research Center's NewsBusters.org.

We will always be in reactive mode, unless we will prevent issues from occurring period.

Death sentence vs. life in prison, how about preventing crime? Preventing accidental teenage pregnancy?

Why do politicians spend so much time on after fact issues? Because it is easier to put a Band-Aid than cure disease?

When they should be saying "Impeach the Terrorist leaders. Not one more death!"?

Or Impeach the terrorist who torture!

Or Impeach the Islamic leader who commands the torturer or terrorist to go out & get the enemies of Islam/Allah.

I'm a democrat. I agree with republicans on some issues but overall lean more towards democrats way of thinking. I am really appalled by the democrats inability to stand up to Bush though. He has made many, many mistakes and it's unbelievable to me how they back down from challenging him. SO what I want to know is do you still beileve 100% your political leaders are making the right choices? and if so why do you still support them?

PLEASE don't tell me you support everything the president does because he's the president and we're at war, by that logic you would have supported Hitler too, so how about a good reason.

Social security: Obviously a problem / Lib solution: bury head.

Foreign policy: World is scary / Lib solution: "what would France do? (nothing)"

Immigration: does giving an illegal alien free medical care and education on tax dollars make sense? Lib solution: Inaction followed by posture for party nomination.

Whether they are true or not? The reason I ask is because every day I come on here and see posts about liberals hating America (not true), liberals supporting Al Queda (not true), liberals loving Rosie (not true), liberals being hippies (not true). It seems like even though a majority of the people that agree with these ideas seem to be intelligent people, they agree with the statements. Is it just that they want to be supported in their statements, regardless of the veracity of the statement? Is this the reason shows like Rush and Hannity are so popular, because they support these completely ridiculous stereotypes?

I am not saying that Global Warming does not exist. I am not a scientist. But what I see is that Democrats are using global warming to bring down Republicans.

If Global Warming was around for decades, what Al Gore accomplished, when he was VP?

Now there is a democratic majority, where are the proposals and legislations to change anything?

Why do people hate homosexuals so much? Scratch that, I guess I can't stop them, but is it any of your business what 2 people do, or even 3 people do in the privacy of their own home? Why is it an issue that two people might love each other and want the same visitation rights, tax rights and inheritence rights? Why is this any business of yours, enough so to outlaw it?

If you believe that George Bush knew about the attack on the WTC before 9/11, do you also believe that Bill Clinton was part of a conspiracy to blow up Khobar Towers, The first WTC bombing, The African embassy bombings, the USS Cole bombing?

Do your beliefs work both ways?

Puting aside partisan politics, it seems readily apparent the decision was a bad one (Quite different than the decision as to leave or stay, some 4 years later). To fill with light the decision, should the Senate form a commission to investigate and understand the matter with clarity?

How can these guys sleep at night? I have heard that children today are overly worried about Global Warming, much like children in the past being forced to go through air raid drills.

This global warming is just another attempt to rule the population by fear, waste resources, and divert our attention from real problems.

From yahoo news regarding the immigration bill not passing:

The split in the Republican Party was more obvious. The issue pitted social conservatives, who insisted that illegal immigrants not be granted "amnesty" for entering the country unlawfully, against business groups hungry for willing workers in hotels, restaurants, construction sites and other comparatively low-wage, low-skilled workplaces.

Talk about hypocrisy!

Let us say two years.

No Food sent to places in famine

No money to countries for medicine, food, infrastructure nothing

No soldiers sent across the world in time of Natural Disasters, Tsunami hits you killing hundreds of thousands, sucks to be you clean it up yourself!

Another war starts in Europe, clean it up yourself, sucks to be you!

No UN dues,Un goes broke, sorry sucks to be you!

Not one thing to anyone unless we profit from it for two years,at the end of which we can negotiate as to whether we will offer any aid to anyone, and under what conditions.

Would you support that,I think it's a fine idea, really tired of a planet full of ungrateful leeches telling the US we don't do enough, when we give more than the rest of them combined.

For me it is. I will not support anyone in Congress, either house, who wants to give amnesty to law breakers, and especially 12 million law breakers. I want current laws enforced.
Although I cannot vote against all of these people, I will be voting against mine in the next re-election bid. I have a long memory and they were going to sell us out. These voted for it
