He did defy a court order. That in itself is a jail offense. I vote YES, jail for the sheriff. Same amount of time as Paris..

Well guys, you may not like this, but here goes.
The affect of the sheriff's actions are reviewable, hence the court appearance. The affects of having her flip out, may not have been.
Now PH strikes me as someone who has never had the reins applied to her. Not for me to say, whether she's faking or not. Personally I don't care for her actions, she comes across as very manipulative.
I think the sheriff covered his fanny from a law suit.
I know when I was a kid, and also with my kids, we got no such continuous breaks. But who cares, she's in no way a role model. Maybe that's the worth of this? Who would want to associate with, or emulate her?
Those who have not sinned toss the first stone.

Paris Hilton needs to go back to jail. Every inmate will try the not eating and crying to get out of jail and onto house arrest if they let her get away with it. Anybody else would pull 10 -18 months for the probation violation she was charged with. How many times does she seem to think she can drive drunk without a license? The penal system needs to prove that money cannot buy your way out of trouble, this is an excellent chance for them to do so.

What possessed this Sheriff to release her, when the Judges order says not to?

He should be stripped of his job and put into general population. And Paris should get the full treatment and serve her days in general population.

The spoilt heiress should have spent time wit the general population instead of getting preferentional treatment and then let out by the Sheriff's Dep't which will teach the spoilt privleged "B'itch" nothing. Fire the sherriff for not doing his job, the "Spoilt B'itch" should serve her time like every other criminal.

Good God.. Paul, we agree on something..... That Sheriff has brought disgrace to his office, the legal system and the view of America as a country of equal opportunities.

I don't care for that woman after all she is only famous for being a porn star, but what a precedent to set.....
