Have you told your representative in the House how you feel about it?

Mine is Tom Tancredo, we talked about it personally while shooting sporting clays one afternoon, I do not need to talk to him again, we agree on this issue.

Have you talked with your representative, do they truly know where you stand and how this pivotal issue will affect not only your life but the prospect of them ever being re-elected again.

I have found with the House, when you tell them straight up, this is a Go - No Go issue and it will decidely direct my vote in the next election, they have a tendency to listen.

The Senate believes they hold office for life. The House is not quite there yet, you can still influence them with your vote.

Tell them, tell them NOW, do not wait for this to pass the Senate, we can still have a small voice in AMerica, we just have to open our mouths and say NO!

Bill Clinton was known for creating bills that had a whole lot of spending scheduled for AFTER he left office.

That (1) stuck whoever followed him with spending and (2) allowed Clinton to deviously say, "Look at me. I have a surplus!"

Does anyone admire that approach of Clinton and the Dems?

Dems, don't bring Bush up here. We're talking about someone that you tell us should be able to stand on his own record. Will you defend him on his own merits? Or are you ashamed?

U.S. President George W. Bush says "Russia is not the enemy" and has nothing to fear from planned U.S. missile defense shield.- C.N.N.

Ironic how Russia provoked the USA with the same scenario with the Cuba crisis. Shouldn't America be equally understanding and not put missles in their backyard?

Seems Dubya made another blunder again without consulting with our allies (Russia) before making such an announcement. Go ahead Dubya keep screwing up our International relations with everyone and we will be totaly isolated from the world.

As an Englishman, it never ceases to amaze me how sophisticated the American sence of humour is.Many times on this site i have encounterd first hand how Americans use wit and charm to quash an argument instead of resorting to insults and childish name calling.

[From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Cheney received “deferred salary payments” from Halliburton that far exceeded what taxpayers gave him. Mr. Cheney still holds hundreds of thousands of stock options that have ballooned by millions of dollars as Halliburton profited handsomely from the war in Iraq.]

Is it possible that profiting from war --either through expansion of powers or deepening of bank accounts-- might give one an incentive to promote a war?

I'm just asking. Just curious.

I'm-- uh, I'm doing a homework assignment . . . yeah, that's it. I'm doing a homework assignment in my mom's basement. You know us people who question the government, all live in our mom's basement, right?

I can sense that you may be getting emotional about this question. Are you sure you should respond?

Would the world feel safer or more at risk if China were to take over the USA as the worlds No. 1 power? Given that right now China is far more favored across the globe than the USA and has strong relationships with other great powers such as the EU, Russia and Japan which the US constantly pisses off.

What do you think?

This would probably never happen. But let's suppose that any constitutional changes or steps were made to allow the United States to have a referendum open to all citizens of voting age on the following issues.

I. Euthanasia (doctor assisted suicide)

II. Abortion

III. Same sex marriage as the law

IV. Capital punishment

Voting YES on an issue means that you support it and are voting for it to be the law, and commonly practiced everywhere (where applicable) in the USA.

Voting NO on any issue means you don't support it and it won't be a right, or an availble option to anyone.

How would you vote on these four issues?

JOHN PERKINS: Well, really, over the past 30 to 40 years, we economic hit men have created the largest global empire in the history of the world. And we do this, typically -- well, there are many ways to do it, but a typical one is that we identify a third-world country that has resources, which we covet. And often these days that's oil, or might be the canal in the case of Panama. In any case, we go to that third-world country and we arrange a huge loan from the international lending community; usually the World Bank leads that process. So, let's say we give this third-world country a loan of $1 billion. One of the conditions of that loan is that the majority of it, roughly 90%, comes back to the United States to one of our big corporations, the ones we've all heard of recently, the Bechtels, the Halliburtons. And those corporations build in this third-world country large power plants, highways, ports, or industrial parks -- big infrastructure projects that basically serve the very rich in those countries. The poor people in those countries and the middle class suffer; they don't benefit from these loans, they don't benefit from the projects. In fact, often their social services have to be severely curtailed in the process of paying off the debt. Now what also happens is that this third-world country then is saddled with a huge debt that it can't possibly repay. For example, today, Ecuador. Ecuador's foreign debt, as a result of the economic hit man, is equal to roughly 50% of its national budget. It cannot possibly repay this debt, as is the case with so many third-world countries. So, now we go back to those countries and say, look, you borrowed all this money from us, and you owe us this money, you can't repay your debts, so give our oil companies your oil at very cheap costs. And in the case of many of these countries, Ecuador is a good example here, that means destroying their rain forests and destroying their indigenous cultures. That's what we're doing today around the world, and we've been doing it -- it began shortly after the end of World War II. It has been building up over time until today where it's really reached mammoth proportions where we control most of the resources of the world.

We have never had a Black in the White house, Blacks are mistreated by trigger happy law enforcement, and the list goes on.

I am sick and tired of Blacks not being treated fairly in the United States based merely on their race. We can't argue which is the right or wrong race, as we need to help all three of the races succeed! In the presidential race we only have one person running that is of another race. Barak Obama is articulate and clean cut as opposed to Jesse Jackson (whose racism precludes his candidacy). But I don't feel that there are enough Blacks in this country to get their man in office. Will we have a Black in the White house, probably not but he (Barak Obama) would sure be better than President Clinton's wife!
