Even some Republicans and Fox news are saying SICKO is an amazing movie!

"When Elizabeth Hilsabeck gave birth to premature twins in Austin, Texas, she encountered another kind of insanity. Again, she was insured -- through her husband, who had a good job in banking. But the twins were born when she was barely six months pregnant, and the boy, Parker, developed cerebral palsy. The doctors recommended physical therapy to build up muscle strength and give the boy a fighting chance of learning to walk, but her managed health provider refused to cover it.

The crazy bureaucratic logic was that the policy covered only "rehabilitative" therapy - in other words, teaching a patient a physical skill that has been lost. Since Parker had never walked, the therapy was in essence teaching him a new skill and therefore did not qualify. The Hilsabecks railed, protested, won some small reprieves, but ended up selling their home and moving into a trailer to cover their costs. Elizabeth's husband, Steven, considered taking a new, better-paying job, but chose not to after making careful inquiries about the health insurance coverage. "When is he getting over the cerebral palsy?" a prospective new insurance company representative breezily asked the Hilsabecks. When Elizabeth explained he would never get over it, she was told she was on her own.

Everyone in America has a health-care horror story or knows someone who does. Mostly they are stories of grinding bureaucratic frustration, of phone calls and officials letters and problems with their credit rating, or of people ignoring a slowly deteriorating medical condition because they are afraid that an expensive battery of tests will lead to a course of treatment that could quickly become unaffordable."

To be truthful, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it fairly is nowhere on the factor of his 'suitable', my common Michael Caine action image is Jack The Ripper, the area he's the detective investigating the killings. appropriate era piece, fairly frightening...I stated it whilst i grew to grow to be fairly youthful and the suggestions of the methodical case and the grotesque murders have by utilising no potential left me. Been a great Michael Caine fan ever for the reason that...i think of of The Ipcress report is a different 2nd. dark Knight for shizzle. As I reported I enjoy good detective artwork!

I love Oprah and Michael Moore is cool, in my time zone she will air during the Republican debate. I am open minded enough to tune in but I will choose the debate.

I love Michael Moore. He's intelligent, honest and extremely funny and insightful. I'm really looking forward to his moving coming out. I'm so sick of the same movies coming out every summer:
Spider man
Shreck
Pirates of Caribbean.

Enough is enough already. No more stinking 'blockbuster' has been repeats.

People need to review both sides of an issue. Both of them need to be admitted To Walter Reed Hospital, even though it's closed and see how much they love socialized healthcare then! Dumb and Dumber! This is too far out there and I am open minded. Anytime a man runs around telling the world it's better in Cuba well, ask some of the boat people fleeing there!

Why don't they help Tom Tancredo rebuild America and help legitimate Americans?! Oh, that's right socialists always keep everybody broke, busted, disgusted equally! Look at what the Supreme Court did in denying equal pay for those Wal-Mart women! May as well let it all go to Hell!

I'd rather just watch the film and form my own opinion on it rather than hear Oprah's.

I'll see the movie. I'm usually at work when Oprah comes on. I'm willing to bet that most of the the posters who are anti Michael Moore never saw one of his movies and won't see this one either.

Oprah may be a good businesswoman, but she's a total idiot on many subjects. Universal health care is one of them. Question to ask Oprah or M. Moore is, Are all those who work for either celebrities have the same or better health care?

Oprah has become far left, so her opinion on politics is not worth hearing. I use my Wii when she does political shows at least wasting my time is fun.

Micheal Moore lied in his "Sicko" film. A Cuban doctor did an interview on NBC & said Moore filmed many scenes of substandard hospitals, families whose loved ones died before they could get treatment. He cut those out to make a film saying what he wanted t to say. To criticize the US.

I CAN live without any heathcare that Micheal Moore wants,
I am sure I will die on his plan. Not everything can be fixed by stealing from the rich.

I'm as open-minded as the next guy, but I don't pay money to see documentaries. I figure if the information was so important to the presenter, he would make it publicly available, and free to the viewer.
