I have but one question that should answer all debate about global warming.
Why have we had 4 ice ages?
If global warming is in any way partially due to humans walking this earth, then why did we have 4 ice ages before humans were even here?

Lets not forget that the "theory" of Global Warming is just that, a theory. Just like the theory that killed the Dinosaurs or in ancient times the thoery that the Earth revovles around the Sun, which was later dicredtied. A theory is an idea that is supported by facts. There are facts that support Global Warming and that humanity is partially responsible. These facts are supported by many governments around the world but disputed by the oil companies (big surprise there). Heck even the Bush administration admits that we need to curb "Global Climate change" (two sides of the same coin). Now I believe in Global Warming and I rather do eveything I can to stop it and never have to be proven wrong, than be proven right and not having the ability to stop it. I would rather error on the side of caution then see the human species become extinct.
Now maybe Global Warming is crap, but I ask this, with so much at stake can we afford to take the risk?

Global warming is a fact, but it's also a recurring cycle of the earth. Gore is simply jumping on the bandwagon of global warming to get some attention and make some money. Man does contribute to global warming, as according to geologic history, approximately every 50,000 years there is a global warming period leading to an ice age, and the last time it happened was around 20,000 years ago. Gore may have some arguement that if we can reduce our pollutants, we may put off the ice age a bit, but it will happen eventually no matter what we do. One question Gore and his buddies have never answered for me. If man is responsible for global warming, what technological society caused it 20,000 years ago?

ALGORE can't use real science.... but sadly no...The Hague is a socialist court that wouldn't find Gore guilty...ALGORES ommisions...
1. CO2 levels rise after increased temperature, not the opposite.
2. The earth was warmer during the 1300's, called the Medieval Warming Period.
3. Climate Change does exist and follows the same patterns as solar activity.
it's amazing that the real Scientists are never heard from....
Is the Earth still recovering from the “Little Ice Age”?
""A possible cause of global warming
Syun-Ichi Akasofu
International Arctic Research Center
University of Alaska Fairbanks
Abstract
There seems to be a roughly linear increase of the temperature from about 1800, or even much earlier, to
the present. This warming trend is likely to be a natural change; a rapid increase of CO2 began in about
1940. This trend should be subtracted from the temperature data during the last 100 years. Thus, there is a
possibility that only a fraction of the present warming trend may be attributed to the greenhouse effect
resulting from human activities. This conclusion is contrary to the IPCC (2007) Report, which states that
“most” of the present warming is due to the greenhouse effect. One possible cause of the linear increase
may be that the Earth is still recovering from the Little Ice Age. It is urgent that natural changes be
correctly identified and removed accurately from the presently on-going changes in order to find the
contribution of the greenhouse effect.""
Do you think that the UN is telling the whole truth or has an agenda? Why would they erase the Medieval Warming period???? Maybe to make the more gullible be taken in...

This just in...
"Water vapour was responsible for 95 per cent of the greenhouse effect, an effect which was vital to keep the world warm, he explained.
"If we didn't have the greenhouse effect the planet would be at minus 18 deg C but because we do have the greenhouse effect it is plus 15 deg C, all the time."
The other greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen dioxide, and various others including CFCs, contributed only five per cent of the effect, carbon dioxide being by far the greatest contributor at 3.6 per cent.
However, carbon dioxide as a result of man's activities was only 3.2 per cent of that, hence only 0.12 per cent of the greenhouse gases in total. Human-related methane, nitrogen dioxide and CFCs etc made similarly minuscule contributions to the effect: 0.066, 0.047 and 0.046 per cent respectively. ""

Al Gore knew the Dems needed a scare tactic worse then terrorism to jump start their political base. They needed more to offer the American people more than going on the defense instead of offense on terrorism. I'm sure it is a tactic that slick Willie said," Al, If you want to be president someday run with this idea because it'll be your only shot.". Not only does it make him a "fake" viable candidate but it brings us leaps and bounds closer to a socialistic one world government.
The Earth warms and cools naturally. Yes we might contribute but not enough to even raise the average temp. 1 degree. If we and everyone joined KEYOTO the we would spend trillions of dollars to lessen the worlds average temp. by 0.5 degrees.
This expense would cripple the economy much the way terrorists wish to cripple our economy and eventually force Islam down our throats.
One terrorist attack with nukes from Iran can cripple our economy. Just as a side note the most popular name in England currently is "Jack" the second most popular is "Muhamid".
I suppose if an "ice age" was approaching we could easily avoid it and control our temp by simply pumping out more carbons into the atmosphere? How absurd.

the children of america should wake up to this as we are going to be leaving solving this problem up to them, the only thing that Gore is guilty of is telling the truth. Facts do not lie and as Bill O'reliey says facts are the only things that matters course the poles are melting at a fantastic rate and when the shores of Florida and the east coast are under water then perhaps people all over will wake up to it

I think the guy's a nut and I'm not sure all the global warming stuff isn't a blip in a hundreds or thousand year trend,
BUT
your use of Abu is both incorrect and hate speech.
You're equating all Arabs with terrorism and think it an insult to group Gore with others you republicans hate (Arabs).
Abu means father of, so if Gore's oldest son's name is Al, then you're using it correctly(you got lucky), otherwise, read a book.
If you think Gore should be tried for what, lying, then Bush should definitely be put away for life. His scare tactics and lies have cost us lives and money, whereas Gore's just blowing smoke. I haven't seen any evidence of the kids being traumatized by Gore's stuff, but kids are being put through alot worrying that daddy or mommy won't come home from Iraq (and dealing with deaths of relatives), where we shouldn't be in the first place.

I suppose the majority of reputable scientists have joined in this conspiracy to commit terrorism, along with most of the industrialized nations on the planet and, lately, Bush. Just how desperate are you anti-global warming people getting?

I agree. There is a very interesting book called "The Greening" that discusses how the communist/socialist movement of the 1930s-1980s has morphed into the "Green" movement of the 1980s- present. It is written by Larry Abraham.

This is not in any form "terrorism".
I personally care what happens in the future, the effects of global warming may not been seen til I am long gone, but I would like to be remembered as the generation who cared about the earth and tried to do something about it.
