terrorist who walk the streets mugging people, shooting innocent kids in schools, raping, murderers, gangs? If you are afraid to walk the streets at night then you are a victim of terrorism don't ya think?

Instead of just taking responsibiltiy for what he did, he's saying it was because he was molested as a child. Like that will make things better somehow! I mean if were my son or daughter, I don't care what happened to him in the past! I mean this is still my kid that has to suffer the consequences.
What's your take?

I've seen the argument raised on this site that the odds of my being picked up and sent to Guantanimo are extremely slim so I shouldn't worry about it. It's the price we have to pay for security. My question isn't so much about what my odds, or yours, or any individual's are of being "disappeared". My question is: Should any one person have the power to randomly take anyone else away for any reason or no reason with no accountability or oversight. If Bush wanted to take you away (even if the odds are a billion to one) what could stop him? Does this not bother you?

Whatever...We no longer have the right to trials, we can now be tortured, we're going to bulid an iron curtain across the Mexican border, the last two elections were stolen, and a new one is on the way, cameras are being placed in every conceivable location, now they want to log everything that we do on the internet, I am sure I am forgetting something, oh, we're responsible for the deaths of over 655,000 people. Whatever, none of it has really effected me... That's how we're susposed to feel right? It's not on TV and the stock market just hit 12,000 so what does anyone care? Just ignore it and enjoy the prosperity, you haven't done anything wrong, you have nothing to hide, slowly ease yourself into the brave new world.

Mark Foley has accused a priest of sexually abusing him when he was a teenager. Since it has been documented fact that sexual abuse and specifically pedophilia is a repeated cycle, do you accept this projection of blame (i.e. that it is ultimately the priest's fault as well) or do you think Foley should accept the responsiblity for his wrongdoing (sole responsibility)?

i find it funny that when i answer a question about the government seeing the places i go on the internet and reading my e-mails with a simple "i don't have anything to hide" people come up with.. why are the Geneva Conventions rules still being used for everything else? It is against the Geneva Conventions and ROE to enter a Mosque, now many of the attackers we encountered would hide in the mosques. If we are willing to overstep the treatment of detainees, why not overstep the whole damn thing?

I am just curious, I do not need long explanations on why you will vote for whom in 2008! I just want to know why you will vote that way. I will say this, I tend to go with the Republican. They usually seem to have my interests in mind! They stick to the more important issues, and do not usually (as a whole) point a lot of fingers on who done what. But I have voted for others before. Just curious to get everyones thoughts on why they vote for whom. Again please no bashing of any sort, that goes for everyone please.
