they have nothing to worry about if they dont talk with the terrorists, and if they're that afaid that something could be "misinturpreted" as working with the terroirsts, then chances are its working with the the terrorists.

If you don't get it, nothing that anybody can say will "make" you get it. And you've already said "can't wait to read your bull **** answers."
BTW I'm not a "Democrat" - I'll just always vote for a Democrat over a Republican...lol. But here's the thing about privacy. You don't have to have "something to hide" to resent the government sticking its nose in your business, any more than you have to be "ashamed of your body" to not want people watching you shower...lol.
What "you people" - since we're making absurd generalizations - don't understand is that when we start shredding our Constitutional rights in the name of fighting terrorism, the terrorists have won. You're too busy pretending that your fellow Americans are "terrorist sympathizers" because they happen to disagree with the Bush Regime on security matters.

I generally think the Democrats misunderstand or otherwise distort the President's security programs. But I never liked the response that "I have nothing to hide" as a full explanation.
People have a general right to be left alone, subject to exceptions. I have nothing to hide in my home, but I don't want the cops coming in and searching without a good reason.
I think the Democrats are greatly exaggerating threats to civil liberties - just my opinion - but the general point has some merit.

This is another of now countless example of conservatives thinking only one move ahead.
Dude, when you change laws like this it's *not just for the situation at hand*. It's for all cases for all time (unless enough people come to their senses and fix it.) Even if you trust the current administration completely to not snoop where it's not needed, not abuse the power given, and to not make mistakes, you have no idea who's going to be elected later.

Here you have a politician like Foley, who is creating laws in congress to protect children from sexual predators, and he goes and violates his own laws! This is the height of total hypocrisy, no matter what party you are affiliated with!

That is not the point...the point is that you and I have Constitutional rights and they are under attack. But you don't even realize it.
How much of the Constitution are you willing to Shred?
Do you want to render the whole article to the fires of fear?
