all of the major "blockbuster" movies, portray government as evil and corrupt. Is this portrayal actually brainwashing people into thinking that government is always the bad guy?

Research bobo the clown.

Bobo Doll Experiment

Albert Bandura believed that aggression must explain three aspects: First, how aggressive patterns of behavior are developed; second, what provokes people to behave aggressively, and third, what determines whether they are going to continue to resort to an aggressive behavior pattern on future occasions (Evans, p. 22, 1989). In this experiment, he had children witness a model aggressively attacking a plastic clown called the Bobo doll. There children would watch a video where a model would aggressively hit a doll and " ‘...the model pummels it on the head with a mallet, hurls it down, sits on it and punches it on the nose repeatedly, kick it across the room, flings it in the air, and bombards it with balls... After the video, the children were placed in a room with attractive toys, but they could not touch them. The process of retention had occurred. Therefore, the children became angry and frustrated.

Then the children were led to another room where there were identical toys used in the Bobo video. The motivation phase was in occurrence. Bandura and many other researchers founded that 88% of the children imitated the aggressive behavior. Eight months later, 40% of the same children reproduce the violent behavior observed in the Bobo doll experiment. (Isom, 1998)

With Project/Operation Mockingbird, the USG and formerly-free American media cooperate to better acheive their agenda. Just like political parties, there are 2 choices in media---ultraliberal or uberconservative. Gone are the days where the news reported facts and let the viewers decide for themselves. FYI---your Tel-I-Vision is brainwashing you.....

I think the reverse is the result...we all know movies have what is called the "desensitization effect". Therefore with all these movies portraying government as corrupt, the public then reacts with, "that only happens in hollywood"

It is not unusual for artists in various disciplines to unleash their thoughts via their chosen medium. It`s an indirect approach meant to invoke further investigation in the viewer/listener etc.

Okay if your questioning the portrayal in movies .. .. What about real life. I realize that most everything has a political SLANT ....from someplace... . but you cannot fake real life. there is so much corruption in the government that we could not even begin to fathom it... and that is coming from someones family who works for it in D.C.

There also films where the hero is from US and the bad guys are from any other country. He has unlimited ammo, he never misses, he never receives a bullet, his hair is always combed.

Art imitates life. Life imitates art. I don't know if it's brainwashing or not. I think that people have their own ideas of what government is or what they are afraid of it becoming and let us in on their fears \.

Seems like you are implying that the conservative policy of increasing government is evil.

Hmm, could be.

I want better government, not more government.

They're just movies. They're fiction. Make-believe.

Repeat that to yourselves.
