Dont judge me for my opinion, but i wondered what everyone would think of this:

America bombed two cities in 1945 killing at least 140,000 people mostly civilians, at the time the japanese goverment was trying to end hostilities (covertly).

The bombs were completely unnessesary, because japan was ready to surrneder - this was even said by the Chief of Staff to President Trueman.

I would class this act as cowardly, and a terrosist act far, far worse than anything the muslim extremeists have thrown at us.

opinions welcome......

I mean why does take up more percentage of income to pay a mortage than 25 years ago? Is the smart growth boundries that rescrict the amount of available land to develop or lack of afforable housing. I lean towards too much regulation in the housing compared to 20 years ago with smart growth regulations, and stupid zoning laws have nothing to do about the strucural safety of the houses in general

Is the US ready for this? Does this nullify Church sanctioned unions? Does this put our collective ethical system in jeopardy? Are gay's and lesbians entitled to the same social laws that straight people are when it comes to transference of property, estates, child custody, health care issues, taxation laws or civil liberties?

When the nations of the west were exploring and expanding their empires, they drew borders and created other nations, often favoring an inferior sector of the native population(race, religion, etc). At the time I'm sure it was logical for the borders to be drawn as they were. But today, in the face of so many regional conflicts, they seem highly illogical and may have much to do with a good deal of violence in the world. I have not heard any major news program address this issue. Nor have I heard anything from the UN about this.

Why do SOME Americans are so proud of themselve?

Economy- The japanese average salary range are much higher than the Americans. For example, all the americans working in the American military base want to pay by the japanese goverment instead of the american goverment, because the japanese goverment pay much better.

Political- freedom- I am pretty sure the Canadian government gave its citizens much more freedom than the American gov. For instance- freedom of speech, legal drinking age, drug policy( too much contorl over it, it doesnt seem like its better than canada tho, the US had much more drug violence than canada), gay marriage, etc.

Appearence- For sure European are much much better( no matter face(better , body(american are fat), and fashion, american fashion are crap (Abercorombie has no style at all, pretty much the same thing in the shop, but american are so crazy about it),

Smartness-- American are not the smartest people in the world, prob the Chinese are

At the turn of the century working conditions were deplorable. Children were exploited. Labor unions served an valuable purpose when they were formed. They improved working conditions for people. But that is ancient history. They quickly degenerated into a harmful entity.

Now we have things like OSHA and the Department of Labor in America. Labor unions are an anachronism. Many unions are infested with leftwing political operatives, even communists. Often they have ties to organized crime (i.e. the Mafia). They employed brutal tactics and violence to achieve their goals. If you disagreed with them, you'd end up with a busted kneecap or worse.

Many US states have now passed "right-to-work" laws ensuring citizens the freedom from union intimidation. In modern times, we ought to get rid of these embarrasing relics of the past. Don't you agree?

The middle class tax rate was cut under this administration leading to an extra $100 Billion in revenues and more job creation. Also, this administration increased the no tax rate bringing disposable income levels up in the poorest Ameircans. But yet democrats consistantly call for the repel of these sound economical actions. Can anyone explain thier reasoning?

Fake "AWOL" memo, fake "Downing Street Memo", Rove was innocent, Plame not outed by administration but by her husband, WMD's were found, yellowcake found, not one lie about war found, not one crime has been comitted against the constitution. All these and many more are the lies from the democrats. Reid's illegalities, Pelosi's hypocracy, Frank's pedophilia, JJefferson's bribe scandal, Durbin's campaign fraud, Schumer's finance fraud. 264 democrat registrars caught triple registering illegals, dead, convicts and elderly in 3 states in order to sway votes. Voter intimidation by the democrats. Democrats appeasement for the terrorists. When will you all wake up?
