And I’m sure all the Christian conservatives would agree that Jesus wanted us to live and love together on the ONE ROUND BORDERLESS PLANET he left us to watch over!
Shame on “True Americans” who shake their finger at other cultures for not being more like America. The US has more checks and balances in place to insure that this country doesn’t fall into the hands of despots and big business men trying to profit off of our economy. That way you don’t have to escape to find the kind of freedom you have here.
Damn the American idiot who claims that other countries must deal with their own problems and then claim with arrogance that we are the example for the rest of the world. The people of Iraq would call you a hypocrite.
Damn the men of this country who advocate torture and imprisonment without trial and call themselves a patriot of democracy, freedom and Christianity.
Anyone who cried when they beat Jesus in the Passion of the Christ and advocates torture.

You are asking after something that is pretty intangible at the moment. There is no way to prove one way or the other at the moment, just a sea of opinion.
Sometime in the future we will have the benifit of gathering more evidence about what decisions were made and what their effects were but I don't think you can ever know, for sure, at the time. Everyone just has to make up their own mind about what the likely outcomes are.

I was confused after reading your question, and after going to your link I'm even more confused. Were you trying to make a point here? If so, what point is it? Are you saying that Democrats are trying to work for freedom and liberty in the US and against the Bush administration (as the link you provide suggests)?.... Or are you being sarcastic and trying to say that by not supporting the current administration's policies Democrats are voting against protecting America?
I have no clue what you were trying to prove - but either way, you did a very poor job of making your point.

Can you show me one Democratic president that increased military spending? Can you show me one Democratic president that increased our intelligence capabilities? I would vote for a Democrat if they would uphold the military, and really do something about domestic issues also. They talk about being for he poor and middle class. Exactly what did Bill Clinton do for Americas poor and middle classes? No health care reform, no tort reform, no better economy than we have now and he had no war to fight, no 911, They didn't raise pay when he was in either, they want to raise my taxes but I can't afford that. Lets not even go there with Carter. Gas lines if your old enough to remember, 21 % interest on BANK loans for houses and cars, 8-10% unemployment. I am an independent voter but the Democrats have given me not one Candidate in the presidential elections worth having lunch with much less putting in the White house. I'm waiting!

Look what the Senators did to the House Bill on illegal immigration.
HR 4437
And English as the official language. HR997
