How do Republicans combat rising crime in US cities?

They don't. They say there's no money left. But Republicans still want lower taxes for the rich. Does this tell you something about Republican priorities?

Isn't the city government (typically Democrat) responsible for law enforcement in the city? Next step up, isn't it the state that's responsible for law enforcement in the state?

Perhaps you could show me the clause in the constitution that makes the federal government responsible for law enforcement in cities? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Well, Social Security had a growing surplus even with it having been tapped by the Government several times. In 1984 all that was put into the General Fund and SS funds since have gone there, so why is it in "trouble".

Out of each tax dollar, currently, the best estimate is that 75 cents is stolen outright with the aid of both parties, negotiated multi-billion dollar contracts which are consummated behind closed doors, etc. But be careful, you can now be classified as a terrorist just for asking.

Failed polices of appeasement (it's not their fault, their father was a drunk, their mother beat them, wah wah) and more rights for criminals (whiny Democrat policies) resulted in souring crimes rates in the 70s and 90s. Low and behold, stricter penalties, broader application of the death penalty, three strikes (all tough on crime Republican policies) resulted in declining crime rates in the 80s and 2000s. Crime is down in the 10 major metropolitan areas of the country. Look it up!

Whining about taxes for the rich again - funny how Democrat arguements always begin or end with that no matter what the subject. Did you hear the latest on the Budget deficit - no of course you didn't because the elite media is not reporting it. The tax cuts have been a boon to the economy, allowing businesses to reinvest in their companies, creating more jobs (as evidenced by phenomenally low unemployment), letting people spend and invest their own money. Tax revenues have increased, CUTTING THE DEFICIT IN HALF 4 years ahead of schedule!!!

Sorry, I think your question should be directed at Democrats. Mayors are responsible for keeping cities safe. With the exception of New York, Democrats control and are Mayors in every major city in the US.

When the Republicans started running New York, the crime rates there drop dramatically and it is currently, the safest large city in the US. (See Link Below)
