I vote issues not parties so I have never really put a great deal of thought into political parties. Every republican I ask just bashes democrats and every democrat I ask bashes republicans. I 'd like to know what the difference is not just the bad about the parties but also the good.

We have been thretaened and held hostage by these rogue nations (North Korea and Iran) long enough! I think we need to take a "get tough" approach to the issue of nuclear proliferation so as all third world countries get the message it won't be tolerated!
I don't think Iran could prevent oil shipments with our navy in the region and our aircraft overhead. As for the "Jihad" we have the potential to put that to an end right from the get go and send a clear and concise message to anyone who wants to join forces with their radical counterparts! We've sacrificed enough and it's time to get tough!! What are your thoughts?

Was there an actual child molestation charge or was it inappropriate behaviour on the internet? Did he actually molest any of those pages? Now I don't agree with his behaviour but did he actually break a law? The law I see broken if any was solicitation of a minor.

Make one other thing clear I am a Dem. This is a question for discussion not bashing.

Why is that people who aren't Muslim claim to quote from the Quran things that aren't in the Quran? THere are so many quote against terrorism in it but people try so hard to justify what the terrorists do by our religion? If it was about religion then why aren't the terrorists against other countries that aren't Muslim or the people who aren't Muslim in their own countries? It's all about simple human values- they feel they are being treated unfairly so they are doing the same to the U.S.
i'm tired of people saying Muslims can't negotiate becuase we do it says so in our Quran. "If they want peace, then show the peace. Because Allah loves those who act equivocally"
If America is not willing to really talk with them and see the situation from their side, then of course diplomacy isn't going to work. You need to think, Be the bigger person. The stereotypes non-Muslims have about Islam are just a big of the problem as the stereotypes people in the Muslim world have about us Americans.

Neo-cons are nothing if they're not determined to pick the wrong man for the job? Is there no-one who will take responsiblity for this? It's like someone giving a driving job to a drunk. They knew it wouldn't be safe.... but now he's caught and 'phew' glad it wasn't anybody elses fault.

democrats who vote against the Bush admiinistration, or those who vote for the administration? Because I hear some things about Hillary and the rest, who republicans complain that they voted for the Iraq war as well. But they never mention those who voted against it. Do they hate those that agree with them? DO they respect those who vote against them? I don't get it...

Big Business and Oil companies are the main reason why our leaders do ANYTHING in this country? Our leaders are merely puppets to this Goliath companies. If they actually listened to those who weren't stuffing their pockets, would this country A) have gone to war? B) still be at war? and C) have the entire world hate us because of our foreign policies?

Iraqi has aprox. 26,000,000 citizens, American has 300,000,000. Bush admits about 30,000 Iraqis have died as a result of the war (Others estimate substantially more). Using the same ratio of deaths to population that would be equalivant to 345,000 American deaths. (100 times more than our 9/11 deaths)

For every American soldier killed, 2,788 to date, 20,887 have been wounded. Applying the same ratio to determine Iraqi wounded per Iraqi deaths (30,000) , and adjusting for population differences that would be equalivant to 2,584,050 Americans injured. Any wonder we are not popular in Iraq?

capable of babysitting a civil war in iraq? I made a suggestion that we leave, and OTHER countries take over for awhile. The answers are always 'if we leave, they willl fail". Now, I realize if we leave them ALONE this may happen. But are we really the only military capable of helping the Iraqis? Perhaps if we left things would calm down a bit, and the military could actually succeed?

There were over 2500 murders in california in 2005
http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/cacrime.htm

846 U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq in 2005
http://www.icasualties.org/oif/

----

Now, I'm sure I'll here some responses from libs saying, "any number of deaths is too much."

Well, that may be true, but, unfortunately, it's a war, the military is voluntary, and the soldiers are proud to be there.

Now, i'd really like you libs to stop quoting death numbers to make your case, because, as I just showed you, it makes you look foolish.

Take up another cause, like stopping murders in california.
