Why is that people who aren't Muslim claim to quote from the Quran things that aren't in the Quran? THere are so many quote against terrorism in it but people try so hard to justify what the terrorists do by our religion? If it was about religion then why aren't the terrorists against other countries that aren't Muslim or the people who aren't Muslim in their own countries? It's all about simple human values- they feel they are being treated unfairly so they are doing the same to the U.S.
i'm tired of people saying Muslims can't negotiate becuase we do it says so in our Quran. "If they want peace, then show the peace. Because Allah loves those who act equivocally"
If America is not willing to really talk with them and see the situation from their side, then of course diplomacy isn't going to work. You need to think, Be the bigger person. The stereotypes non-Muslims have about Islam are just a big of the problem as the stereotypes people in the Muslim world have about us Americans.

see this is the whole thing, you're still not making a point. do you think whatever a human does necessarily represents or changes the whole message of what they belong to? terrorists are not muslims therefore all the references to what those extremeists do are not following what the Quran says, the Sunnah or hadith of the Prophet and if you don't follow that, then you don't follow Islam. It's as simple as that. I follow the Quran and sunnah and I'm completly following and enjoying my religion. I have Muslim, Christian, Jewish , hindu and Sikh friends and we work and live together happily. Islam is about your own character, you don't need to worry about what other people's religions are. It even says so in the QUran, once again. Prejudiced people as well as terrorists themselves are trying to cover their insecurities and justify their actions and beliefs by Islam but it's not working and illogical. I agree the terrorists don't seem very diplomatic but that doesn't mean Muslims aren't.

Islam also brought out the world from the dark ages. ALl the scholars of the world came to Muslim nations during the renaissance to study medicine, mathematics, science, language and art. So many of those things are referenced in the Quran over 1400 years ago and some things were just being discovered here in the last few centuries.
Islam also gave rights to women and slaves way before anyone else. They had the right to divorce, work, own property just like the Prophet's own wife, Khadija. So all the things you're complaining about are all political conflicts , it's not my fault Islam's message is not being interpreted incorrectly by the leaders themselves. We must struggle to bring back the true meaning of Islam and remind people to separate religion from politics
Surah Kafirun-Say : O ye that reject Faith!
I worship not that which ye worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
And I will not worship that which ye have worship
Unto you your religion, and unto me mine

first off, let me start by saying not all Americans are that way. My brother-in-law is actually from Pakistan, and i have a few Muslim friends and some Christian friends (I'm a Deist by the way) and it's amazing how many people don't realize how close the two religions are. most of the people who are making these quotes haven't even read the Bible, if they had they would be a little more humbled on the subject, seeing as how taken out of context many of the Bibles passages can be derived as teaching hate. there are those of us that understand this, we are called Liberals (most of us, though there are plenty of liberals that don't get it) and we should be in power come the next election.

You are right. I once quoted some peaceful verses from the Quran here like the one you also quoted and in reaction I got three thumbs down and no answerer showed they thought about it in any way.
I think that many radical Christians want to demonize Islam in order to show that it was like Christianity was the light and Islam the dark or something like that, because they feel like they are in some kind of competition with Islam.
I also think that many people in America want to demonize Islam because they think this way they could justify all American policies when they say it like "see, we are the good ones, they are the bad ones".
So in every case it makes them feel great when they think "we as Christians and/or Americans are the good people and these Muslims are our enemies and they are terribly evil".
By the way I am not Muslim.

I think eventually that Islam will end up in the ash heap of history like communism or nazism. Do you realize that if it were not for oil the majority of muslims would still be living in tents, because of the repression of your religion and the suppression of ideas mankind would still be in the dark ages if islam had ruled the world centuries ago. just go and watch this interview on al jazeera tv listen to the thoughtful response after her speech.

Does talking work with someone who's goal is to kill you? How do you negotiate with a religious whacko who believes they are commanded by God to kill you?
What did the USA do to Muslims to warrant 9/11?
Fictional negotiation session:
Jihadist: We will kill all you infidels.
USA: Please don't kill us.
Jihadist: No, we will kill all who resist and covert the rest, and institute Sharia law around the world.
USA: How about if we don't resist. Do we still have to convert?
Jihadist: No, you must convert or die.
USA: What if we just paid a tribute, do we still have to convert?
Jihadist: Convert or die!
Etc.
What's really scare is some of the polls in countries like the UK and France, that are finding that about 10% of the muslims in those countries are OK with terrorist attacks. They are not actually involved, but they support it.

WHERE exactly does "allah talk about his love and peace. please give me a reference. Mohammed killed Jews by the thousands and killed as many as he could trying to convert them to islam. Now tell me about the roots of this religion and how it can be good at all. Show me some of allahs love by blowing me up. oh and don't go on to talk about the catholic crusades because that is not Christianity there either, they were dumbfounded and had false idealogy put in their heads by Martin Luther. Islam is not a religion of peace. If it is then tell me why "non-radical islams cheer whenever Jews or Christians die.

Excerpt of interview with Islamic Scholar Sheikh Abdul Hadi Palazzi
Regarding Israel, I beg your pardon but may I ask you to please consider refraining from speaking of Israel's "right to exist." Affirming Israel's "right to exist" is as unacceptable as denying that right, because even posing the question of whether or not the Children of Israel (Jews) -- individually, collectively or nationally -- have a "right to exist" is unacceptable. Israel exists by Divine Right, confirmed in both the Bible and Qur'an.
I find in the Qur'an that God granted the Land of Israel to the Children of Israel and ordered them to settle therein (Qur'an, Sura 5:21) and that before the Last Day He will bring the Children of Israel to retake possession of their Land, gathering them from different countries and nations (Qu'ran, Sura 17:104). Consequently, as a Muslim who abides by the Qur'an, I believe that opposing the existence of the State of Israel means opposing a Divine decree.
Every time Arabs fought against Israel they suffered humiliating defeats. In opposing the will of God by making war on Israel, Arabs were in effect making war on God Himself. They ignored the Qur'an, and God punished them. Now, having learned nothing from defeat after defeat, Arabs want to obtain through terror what they were unable to obtain through war: the destruction of the State of Israel. The result is quite predictable: as they have been defeated in the past, the Arabs will be defeated again.
