Iraqi has aprox. 26,000,000 citizens, American has 300,000,000. Bush admits about 30,000 Iraqis have died as a result of the war (Others estimate substantially more). Using the same ratio of deaths to population that would be equalivant to 345,000 American deaths. (100 times more than our 9/11 deaths)

For every American soldier killed, 2,788 to date, 20,887 have been wounded. Applying the same ratio to determine Iraqi wounded per Iraqi deaths (30,000) , and adjusting for population differences that would be equalivant to 2,584,050 Americans injured. Any wonder we are not popular in Iraq?

The 19 or so Saudi terrorists didn't take down the twin towers with 2 airliners. They couldn't have. Someone else did. We'll probably never know who. No one could have piloted a commercial airliner into the Pentagon. Torturing our enemies won't protect us or make us safe. Quite the contrary. It is completely ineffective as an intelligence gathering tool. It lowers our esteem with the international community. It opens the door to our enemies torturing any captured U.S. soldiers and civilians with impunity. How could we complain about our people being tortured if we engage in it ourselves? It creates terrorists and enemies where there were none before. It may be good for sadists, the military industrial complex and the handful of super rich fascists who own and control everything and everyone on the planet, but it makes life for the other 99.9% of us really sucky. Worst of all, the very existence of torture is just one of many things that makes it impossible for humans to attend to the very real, very large and very immediate threats to our entire species, not to mention many others. To begin to address those we all need to work and act together. This isn't some hippie day dream. It's deadly serious. We can all wake up, drop all the violence and hostility and work together to heal the planet or we can go extinct. I'm amazed at how many on YA don't realize that the second you say "Kill all terrorists." you, yourself become a terrorist and are therefore obliged to kill yourself.

I hear you, and believe me when I say I want our boys home ASAP, but what do people really think would happen in Iraq if all of a sudden we just packed up and left? I mean really. Would everything just work itself out immediately and become sunshine and roses. Unfortunately, I must say that the argument that Americans shouldn't be in Iraq anymore is somewhat flawed, however, the same can be said for the arguement that Americans being in Iraq is helping the situtation. Basically, I think we need to be there, we just find more constructive uses for our time other than runing around with giant bullseyes painted on our heads.

I don't have much qualms over the deaths of the soldiers fighting for Sadaam. You can't just throw those deaths into the mix and expect them to be credible at all. The U.S. has taken more effort to insure a minimum of innocents die. Most of the people dying in Iraq today are not dying by U.S. hands but by the sectarian violence of other Iraqis. Quit blaming Bush for the actions of evil men.

The question is what would I do? I would get some arms and bombs and kill the terrorists. Pretty much what the people in Iraq are doing right now. By the way, it is a civil war going on, please tell George and Dick to wake up!!

Your question is invailded based on your ratio. While it may make sense, it is numerically inaccurate to make sweeping ratios that taint the nature of your question.

YOU ARE TWISTING NUMBERS AND THAT WHOLE ARGUMENT DOESN'T HOLD WATER. THE NUMBERS CAN BE TWISTED TO REPRESENT ANYTHING ELSE. THE SCENARIOS ARE A JOKE STICK TO FACTS NOT WHAT IF. BECAUSE IT'S NOT.
