as long as bush is in office there is no cap on how many we can occupy and capitalize. and it will take the Democrats years to fix the problems he has created.

Birdsnake, are you actually arguing that Germany and Japan are "rich" countries as a result of us carpet-bombing and/or nuking and then occupying them? Wow, you must have gotten a double helping of Kool-Aid...

Anyway, the answer is at least one (Iran) for strategic and economic purposes and maybe Syria if they fuss when we invade Iran. We can fight both from Iraq and that's much easier prospect logistically.

There is not a snowball's chance in hell an American troop will step foot in NK--too close to China, nothing to win if we win, way too many well-trained ground troops to fight, etc.

Anything is possible he has two year left to do it unless congress is returned to the democratic majority this November. This will restore checks and balance to the government and he will be hampered in anything that is not a real threat.

Look at Germany & Japan.
Being occupied by us, made them very rich countries.
Maybe you never cared about the 9/11 attacks, but some people do.
