What is the difference? Years ago I think there were differences but what are they today?

Good question. I don't know the differences any more myself. I used to think that the Republicans were pro-big business, and Federal governemtn, and the Democrats were more or less pro-society and small government. But today I don't know what either party wants, except money and power. I'm sad to be a registered democrat because I don't know where the party is going or what it plans to do when it gets there.

Democrat is the singular form for a member of the Democrat Political Party. Republicans is the plural form for members of the Republican Political Party. Easy enough.

Yes, each hold to their core beliefs I think there is a difference, democrats tend to pass laws that protect the poor and middle class from the rich. The repuglicans tend to give everything to the rich which this administration and its one party rule has proved out. It is a dangerous time in America and we need to vote democrats into the majority in congress this November in order to restore checks and balance to the government.

Republicans favor a smaller government and less taxes. Democrats want higher taxes and a bigger government. Today, republicans are spending more than they should while Democrats have to hide their ideas because nobody will vote for them if they reveal their true agenda. (they never say that they will raise taxes, they just want to waste money on new programs with taxpayer's money)

Not much anymore. Both are insane, both are ignoring the Constitution, both are income tax hungry, both are spineless.
