"PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - Kidnappers seized two North Carolina missionaries on their way to church in Haiti's capital, and a U.N. official said Thursday the captors had demanded a $100,000 ransom."

Should we do what Israel did and just bomb Haiti?

I obviously say no if you read the whole article the FBI is working with the kidnappers to free the americans. why couldnt the israelis do that, all hezbollah wanted was for israel to release a few prisoners, so why couldnt israel negotiate something and take hezbollah out in a cleaner less deadlier way?

Tell me what you think on this, why you think the israeli situation might be different, explain your answer.

no racist comments or stupid answers.

the price of goods have gone up but not salaries, this is a investors economy. the only ones getting richer are investors on wall street and people who play the stock market as well as corporations.

I've heard the argument about it being Clinton's fault which makes no sense because he was out of office for 8 months. Bush was warned and he did nothing. Do cons really believe that no blame goes to Bush and it was inevitable since the day he got into office? Also, if he is looking out for us then why were so many people trapped in NO during Katrina? Even if the local and state failed, wouldn't a good president have the area evacuated? Or is Katrina Clinton's fault too?

Their motto could be something along the lines of, oh I don't know, "Hatred for anyone who is different from us...And we have Christ and God on our side to prove it!!!" (Or at least our interpretations of them based on ignorance and what we can comprehend from Fox News).

I don't know that the Republicans would be any better off but at least GW wouldn't have to pander to the swelling ranks of the ignorant masses anymore.

The remaining party's mottos could be "God Save Us From Your Followers".

Just an idea...

To Bush Supporters & all Americans, how do you feel about the issues in Lebanon:

1-America being the last country to help their people out of Lebanon
2-British allows 100 US students to board their own rescue ship out of Lebanon; America drops 100 MREs meant only for the American students on the ship

Why doesn't the government make more of an effort to get the word out about this. I would think it would help recruiting, though, thankfully, the Army has met their goals again this year.

"Save the babies!!" They wail and wail. But after they are born, the Republicans who "save" them vote to cut programs to help poor kids.

It is hypocritical.Look at this e-mail from a good pro-life chtistian":
From: screwedbytheleft

Subject: Yes, as a matter of fact "******" is a word it means:

Message: Get the **** out of my paycheck you turdmonkey. I don't want to pay for your abortions, your meds, your hemorroid treatments, your ******* housing, or childcare expenses. The only thing the gov't should be spending taxes on is defending this nation. Whether in Iraq, Iran, our the city of Berkeley.

Dont tell me.Tell the kids.
Turns out they are not pro-life,they are pro-birth.
This finally prooves it.

Palestine forms its own sovreign state and Israel leaves its neighbors alone.

Stop bashing my premises.

Look I understand that everyone in the region has a different opinion about Israel founding and right to exist. That is not the question. Aggression? There was plenty, first in the seizure of the land and then as a rebelion against it, which continues to this day. Do I realize, BLAH BLAH BLAH! Do I realize the crusades where a response to the invasion of Islam into European society during the youth of Islam?

Will a mature Palestinian Democracy help?

And it was ok for him to enact emergency laws for Terri Schievo, and it was ok for him to do nothing for days after Katrina struck and why is it ok for him to deny funding for stem cells even though 75% of people want funding? Why is it ok for him to tap my phone calls and keep a record of my calls? Why can Bush refuse to go under oath about 9/11? Why were people turned away in black communities in the 2000 elections with a "Scrub List" made by Kathren Harris, Florida Secretary of State and Bush's state campaign co-chairwoman? Why is clinton blamed for all of the problems in the last 5 years, but Bush isn't? Why did what the Project For a New American Century want in Iraq come true after Bush got into office, and why did Saddam become a threat so quickly after Bush took office?

My final question:

If Bush is such a great leader, why does so much bad "stuff" happen under his administration?

All you people that support Bush out their, How do you explain all the different explanations for being in Iraq? First it was he has got weapons of mass destruction. They were never found*, then it was he was trying to get WMD’s , but he really wasn’t. Then it was because he was abusing the oil for food program (give me a break just stop the oil for food program so much cheaper), then it was because he was breaking UN resolution. Come on people, their have been so many excuses, and Im sure that I have forgotten a few here. What ever the latest excuse is why didn’t they just use that one to begin with? Lets face it the American people were bald faced lied to. And yes Saddam was an A. hole, but he wasn’t worth loosing American lives over.

*The so called WMD’s that were recently found in Iraq don’t count, for one their over 20 years old, and second we already knew about them, we just finally stumbled upon them.

I'm not being anti-semetic, although most people might answer a question like this with an accusation like that. We're willing to start the war to end all wars for these guys so I think it's a vaild question.

Not being sarcastic either, I really want to know.

Okay, I personally don't think America is an Evil Empire. I like living here, but I can see how those who don't reside in the U.S. might disagree with me. Consider these reasonings:

1. We get attacked by rebels from Saudi Arabia, so we a ttack Iraq.

2. We say that our no. 1 concern is to get rid of Sadam, we did that, but then occupied the country and it's Oil well.

3. We shoot down North Korea's test missles and condemn them for such actions - then we test launch a missle from California Silo's to a destination half way around the world.

4. We put sanctions on anyone who disagrees with us.

5. We can have weapons of mass destructions, but no other country can.

6. We side with countries that give us money rather tthen those that need help.

7. Only country ever to drop atomic bomb on civillians (twice)

8. Only 40 years ago, Black people had to use separate water fountains.

9. Wiped out the native americans. Gone. Extinct.

I could go on, but I'm limited to 1000 words or less

Thats an Ann Coulter for you, a vast overgeneralization and lie, like when she says liberals hate America. But birth defect rates are way up under President Bush. Why? Lax enforcement of environmental rules. Funding to the EPA inspection and enforcement was cut. Now children are sick because of it, just like in Texas where Gov. Bush's voluntary environmental regulations gave that state the highest rate of birth defects and cancer in No. America. So why do conservatives think its OK to poison children? Oh, the money. Of course.

After Independance in India. There was a debate between Nehru and Gandhi About the base of Development for our country. According to Gandhiji 70% people live in rural India and 30% people live in Urban areas and he also felt that India should have its own Indentity and development should be based on non-violence. But Nehru gave preference to Industrialisation which will benifit only 10% people of India. Also he felt that it has got nothing to do with non-violence.

Either he ignored the facts and allowed 911 to happen, was involved in planning 911 or his administration is incapable of preparing for this sort of thing. Every scenario involves his negligence. Why isn't this questioned about our "great hero leader"?

From the way Dubya and you puppets tell it The New York Times created high treason for reporting a story about banking transactions. And of course all those unwilling to think for themselves jumped on the Dubya/Rove bandwagon.

At the same time, on the same day, The Wall Street Journal also ran the same story about the secret monitoring of banking transactions.

Why didn’t Dubya call the Journal’s actions treason? Perhaps it’s because the Wall Street Journal is conservative?

As a great Republican once said:

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -Teddy Roosevelt
