Their motto could be something along the lines of, oh I don't know, "Hatred for anyone who is different from us...And we have Christ and God on our side to prove it!!!" (Or at least our interpretations of them based on ignorance and what we can comprehend from Fox News).

I don't know that the Republicans would be any better off but at least GW wouldn't have to pander to the swelling ranks of the ignorant masses anymore.

The remaining party's mottos could be "God Save Us From Your Followers".

Just an idea...

Why don't we do an experiment and spilt the coutry into two sections. Let the Religious Right forma and control a government on one side, and the non-religious left form and control a government on the other side. People would be free to move if they would like. Then let's see which side runs better. I'd be willing to bet the religious right government would be more protective of the people, and things would run much more smoothly. Before long, the left would become a socialist government where everyone shares in business, and no one is better than anyone else in "class warfare". The problem will occur when people realize they have NO incentive to work hard or produce anything of value. The economy will fall further and further and things would fall apart.

On the other hand, the Religious side would have guidelines and boudaries to go by, whether they be religious or political, as long as they are conservative, and things will run perfectly well. There will be rich and poor, but the poor will have incentive to work harder, and the economy will flourish.

When people start realizing that the liberal economy is killing the, they will start trying to move over to the other side, which will cause the economy to fall even further. In a panic, the government will have to put up a border to protect the economy from getting even worse, which will fail to do it's duty.

I don't consider myself a religious person, or a republican, really, but I do support the religious right much more than the fascist liberal attitude.

Now, I have a question for you:

Why did you put quotes around the hatred statement and the God on our side statement? Have you EVER actually heard ANYONE say that? No. No one says that. The only hatred is coming from the extreme Liberals who are calling people who don't agree with them demeaning names like stupid, crazy, a$$holes, and many other names. They are in complete denial that their policies and ideals are fascist in nature, while they are an exact match. Sure there are some extreme right crazy people, and the republican party doesn't recognize them.

Like you, I am frustrated by the Republican Party's "religious right". I am a former Republican and no longer consider myself a "conservative" because that term no longer means "a person who supports getting government out of people's lives." I am now a member of the Libertarian Party, a political party that supports both economic AND personal freedom. And while there are some religious people in the Libertarian Party none of these people want to shove their beliefs down anyone's throat. If you are a Republican who is frustrated with your party you might want to give it a look see and let the "religious right" have the Republican Party.

The Conservative Republican party has, for ages, well, since it first begain, been Christian, or for the most part anyway. GW professes to be a Christain. He's not "pandering" to anyone. You Libs already have several mottos. "Save a terrorist, kill an unborn child." and your favorite these days, "Bush is Hitler". Here's one that's really appropriate, "Democrats. The party of losers, personal attackers, sour grapes, and appeasers!"

As long as we don't have runoffs, I'm all for any third party that could consistently take 15 percent of the vote on the far right. Where's George Corley Wallace when we need him?

The US would be better off if religion did not get involved in politics at all. There is something creepy about the "religious right," I dont trust them.

Political activities change. Political activities have little to do with ideology and far to do with expediency. it should be better for Ron Paul to modify activities or sort his personal.

GW isn't pandering to the religious right, he is the religious right.
