I checked into it and it turns out it wasn't Bush after all - it was Osama Bin Laden. Who would of guessed?

Because the Republican party and the Republicans in Congress DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOOD GOVERNMENT.
If they can keep mismanaging the government, they can give the impression that government doesn't work. True, some Republicans in Congress attempted to investigate President Bush's incompetence and his constitutional criminality, but the administration stonewalled these investigations, thereby preventing justice being served.
The most important thing for the American people to do is NEVER make this same mistake again....Never elect Republicans if you want your government to be run efficiently, justly and honestly. They will ruin the government e-v-e-r-y time you put them in power!
How many more Hoovers, Nixons, Reagans, Delays and Bush's will it take before the American people learn this lesson?
For those conservatives who think Clinton rather than Bush was the one asleep at the switch- study your history!
Read "Against All Enemies: Inside America's War on Terror" by Richard Clarke. You'll be able to compare and contrast what Clinton and Bush did about terrorism before 9/11. It's NOT what you think.
If Gore were President rather than Bush.....who knows....9/11 may've been thwarted! Continuity in government back then would've helped us. The Republicans hurt us because they don't believe in good government.

Don't be ignorant... Blaming Bush for 9/11 is comparable to blaming Lincoln for the Civil War... If you paid any attention to what happened prior to 2001, you may recall that Clinton ignored numerous opportunities to apprehend Bin Laden during his presidency, even after the first attack on the WTC in 1993... Because Clinton ignored the opportunities to get Bin Laden, 9/11 was bound to happen (as sad as that sounds), simply because Bin Laden, Al-Qaeda, etc. have always hated the U.S. and they weren't going to give up until they pulled off something of this magnitude. To say this was because Bush's administration wasn't capable or that Bush himself was negligent is just laughable. Clinton is the one you need to point the finger at! He had the opportunity to capture the leader of Al-Qaeda and he didn't even bother to try!

You jump to conclusions. The fact that Bush did not "get in trouble" should prove to you that he did not ignore facts or plan the attacks. There are so many people in high places that would sacrifice their first born to bring down Bush how can you not see that if any of these crazy theories were even plausible he would have his head in a noose.
I've been reading your questions and have discovered that all you do is search for answers that agree with your rants. you don't get on here to learn anything just to rant. Try a chat room if that's all you want. This is set up for people who have real questions and are willing to here another side that they may not be aware of. I know the world doesn't make sense to you, But you will never learn anything until you stop letting your emotions cloud your judgment.

And how should he be punished?
What would you have done differently?
What happened on 9-11 was a horrible tragedy. But to place blame on any administration is ignoring the lessons that should be learned from it.
I'm not a Bush supporter by any means. But I think that if anything could have been done to prevent this tragedy, it would have been done.
Maybe you think Bush enjoyed seeing the collapse of the World Trade Center?
Have you read the 9-11 report? You should!

Well first of all, Stop listening to Michael Moore.
Get all of your facts together.
Bush had nothing to do with 9/11. It's 9/11 by the way, not 911. 911 is an emergency phone number. 9/11 is a date.
Nobody "ignored" the facts. What little information we had, was not shared between the agencies. The FBI, NSA, CIA all had little parts of information that had they put them together would have given us an idea of what was going to happen. BUT, previous administrations (I don't know which ones) had made it more and more difficult for the agencies to share that information. So nobody had the full picture of what was going to happen.
Sorry to burst your little anti-Bush tyrade with facts, but that's what happens.

wow, it was for the same reason they he and thousands of other people knew that New Orleans was going to be wiped out in any natural disaster because the Levees werent built right or maintained and they STILL arent being built right. The world trade center was being bombed and targeted by terrorists long before Bush came into presidency. In fact take a look at Clintons term and the events with the World Trade Center.
This stuff happens because AMERICANS DO NOT STAND UP TO THEIR LEADERS!
we are more concerned with how big our houses are or how sporty our cars are or how the "reds" are playing, or what celebrity is having an affair with who, who is on American Idol. in other words **** that simply does NOT matter.
If you are looking for someone to blame, blame us all, and yourself. That is why he paid no consequences. WE believe what the news tells us. Man, We are IDIOTS!

Dont go for the conspiracy things eh? Muslims terrorist who declared war on the USA years and years before Bush became president did 911. Why didn't intel pick it up? Communications lapses, laws preventing the sharing of information between agencies. The same people that complain abut it though are also the ones complaining about the Patriot Act, watching phone calls, following money, etc. If we demand the govt do something to prevent this in the future, we have to allow them the tools to get the bastards before they can carry things out. Cant really have it both ways.

It was the terrorists' fault. Not Clinton, not Bush, and not America for being rich and successful and lucky.
The terrorists did it.
Come on guys! Even Nostradamus did not see that coming. The plan was so brilliantly diabolically evil and inspired, only a sick bastard like Osama bin Laden could have thought it up and followed it through.
By playing the blame game, you let bin Laden and his cronies win. He wants a divided America, he was planning on it. He wants to turn the clock back to 700 AD when Islam was the supposed leading culture on the planet.
He wants you guys gone because he can't have his dream while America exists.

Those around him engineered the whole deal. Convince the public that aircraft brought down two of the best-built buildings in town...as WTC 7 was imploded, so were Number 1 and 2. A rocket (D. Rumsfeld said so) actually hit the Pentagon, not a 757. Besides, there was no physical evidence that a large plane made contact with the building.
As President, he spouted the proper lies (however improbable) and righteously vowed to hunt down those responsible...
It's not up to him, to direct domestic or foreign policies, but his masters. Still, he is culpable, for covering for evil-doers--that makes him evil, too.

The Democrats didn't want to make a big deal out of the fact that Clinton was getting sucked off while he SHOULD have been accepting SUDAN'S offer to arrest OBL.
Clinton's appointments at the CIA and FBI couldn't piece together evidence because of PC Democratic laws that prevent "profiling" "wiretapping" etc...
You're trying to blame the horse for being locked up in a barn.
