I think there are 3 types of Dems that vote for the government to run all of our lives.
1. The failures. These are the people that have failed at life and alienated everyone that knows them. They want the rest of us to support them instead of supporting themselves.
2. The short sighted. These are the people with good intentions, but are too short sighted to recognize the consequences of their votes. Government: root word is govern, which means to control, restrict, oppress. Anything the government does, is at the expense of freedom.
3. The evil. These are the scum bags that just want power. They pander to type 1 and 2 to get votes so they can control our lives.

Clinton decreased government, decreased government spending. Bush increased government. Bush increased government spending by 300% in four years.
Most Democrats I know accept responsibility for their actions. The key word here is MOST.
Stereotyping is EVIL.
The difference between Clinton and Bush is that with Clinton the middle class became a little better off and their money meant a little more to them. With Bush the rich get richer the poor get poorer and the middle class gets screwed.

If you're talking about jobs- it's because jobs don't grow on trees.
I know, I know...many conservatives feel all you have to do is go out and find one of the many "job trees" scattered around the plains and mountains of North America and pick out any ol' job you want....but this is simply their utopian psychosis.
If the social system and the economy were designed to provide liberty, opportunity and justice for all rather than a limited few, you wouldn't be asking such inane questions- it would be happening on its own!
It's fascinating watching conservatives proclaim over and over that the poor should just help themselves without any assistance! This flies in the face of many of their very own beliefs- which they don't have a very good grasp of, obviously.
Jesus was a communist because he realized economies became very lopsided with advantages accruing to the few at the expense of the many. He KNEW the poor couldn't help themselves.
Here, see for yourself:
The HOLY BIBLE, Acts Chapter 4:32-35; {32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. 34 There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.}
Karl Marx came along and rephrased this idea as "from each according to his ability to each according to his needs."
Apparently what was right in Jesus' time is too "liberal" for America today.
Sigh.

WRONG!!!!!
If you could put down the right-wing radio indoctrination to the Cult of Rush just for a minute, you might learn that the Democrats are the party of the working class. The policies are too KEEP THEM WORKING BECAUSE WORK CREATES INDEPENDENCE.
I really have to chuckle at poor rednecks who vote for Republicans who steal from the working class and keep THEM dependent!
seems to me like the republicans are doing that now. For instance:
The shivo case.
The abortion issue.
The stem cell research.
in these cases, the republicans are taking over and taking personal choice and responsibility away from the people.

Why do you think that? It couldn't be further from the truth. Why do uninformed people like you ask questions that they have a preconceived notion of what they want as an answer? If you really want to engage in a debate, you have to be willing to learn more about the ideology of what the other sides actual beliefs are instead of making unprovable inflammatory statements.

I guess that by inventing positions for the people who disagree with you, you think you might have a way to win an argument. Sadly, your ploy is pathetic. Let people say for themselves what they believe in, then try to respond to that; my guess is that you are too brain lazy for a real debate, so you resort to this sort of asinine rubbish instead.
If you think you have a point to make, bring it on. Judging by this "question", you will have no points or arguments that can not be easily beaten. Otherwise, you might not have tried such a stupid tactic.

They are merely the essential counterweight to Republicans. The two sides hotly debate the issues . That's good (although too vitriolic these days) Democrats = Labor; Republicans-Management. Neither side is evil.

As far as I can tell, this is a problem with both parties.
This may not but you want to hear, but I think its an accurate observation.
