The house overwhelmingly voted to support Israel by a vote 410-8. Do you still think the President acted without the backing of the United States?

I never thought that way personally. The Bush bashers will think of something else now. I wonder what crap they will pull out of the toilet next time?

If the White House acted with the backing of the United states then clearly there is a skewed sense of priorities.

I understand that lebanon is home to a group of terrorists, much the same as palestine, but Israels actions are horrendous! Bringing two Countries to their knees saying that they are just trying to get their captured soldiers back would be laughable if it wern't so serious. Israel should be held accountable for their actions. The allied forces are willing to invade Iraq to bring down Saddam, but when Israel commits crimes even worse, we are just sitting back. Why? I dont condone the actions of the terrorists, but I can't sit and watch Israel spin their lies and kill innocents without saying anything. I say invade Israel, topple their regime, and maybe things will be more civil in the middle east. I think we owe it to palestine and lebanon given that it is US made weapons causing the destruction!

Congress was elected with less than 50% of the people voting. So it is still possible Bush acted without the approval of the majority. But while it is possible, I agree that it is improbable and that the American people as a whole do support Israel if only because they are fighting Hezbollah (a known terrorist organization).

Duh that was a no brainer.

This is exactly why a good dictatorship works better than a bunch of elected Congressmen.

They were just wasting their time voting for the obvious. I say fire all those lazy Congressmen and let the Bush Dynasty rule this Nation for the next 200 years
