I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I do really feel that he doesn't look in control as a prime minister. What do you feel? Tell frankly.

Ok, I respect your opinion if you are against stem-cell research, but would you be willing to sign a contract, list, petion-- whatever, saying that when a cure is found for a disease or impediment using stem-cell research, you forfeit the right for you and your children to take advantage of the medicine or treatment?
Would you feel different about stem-cell research if you or one of your loved ones had an incurable disease?
I
kind of have the feeling that if stem-cell research proved to find a treatment for a disease, the Bible-toting conservatives would be first in line with the hands out. They love saying how their morality is so wonderful, yet I don't know what 'moral' person would not be willing to potentially save millions of lives, yet feel free to fight for gun laws and completley support the innocent killing of thousands of people in Iraq.
It all seems like one big contridiction to me. I don't see how Christian morals fit in to our government in the slightest. It's crazy!

Personally, I think that they're too rigid. A party tends to have a core set of beliefs that you can either take or leave. When you vote for a Democratic candidate, they're more likely to vote along party lines instead of actually what they believe is correct. People often believe in a mix of the ideologies offered by the party system, but we can't vote for the combination of ideals we believe in. If we could vote for individuals instead of party members, we would be able to select an individual who matches more of our beliefs.

One of my Lebanese-American friends is stuck in Beirut now because he went there on vacation. He went to school with me in Georgia my whole life. Also, I feel bad for those silly Jews because they want to have a country, even though everyone hates them. (I don't think Israel should have ever been made a country--they don't need a country; they could just as easily live in America.) But, Israel is a country, so why can't everyone just get over it? Why do people in the Middle East not just worry about buying a new sofa instead of fighting? What the hel is wrong with them? Do they need some diversity training or what? Please tell me--what is thisboy from Georgia supposed to think about the crazies over there?

He told the NAACP that he comes from a "family that's committed to civil rights."

Wow, that's news to me, so perhaps someone could enlighten me on the Bush family civil rights record.

We started the war in Vietnam for all the wrong reasons just like in Iraq. The liberals in the 60s marched in the streets and stopped the Vietnam war. They won but at what cost? Pol Pot came to power in Cambodia and killed untold millions of people. Will we continue to follow the path we went down last time? Will we run and leave the Middle East a tinder box so that Islamo-Nazis take over and kill millions? I hope not. I think we have to end the mistakes of the past and finish the job this time like we did in WWII. It took 50 years to rebuild Japan and Germany but it was worth it.

I am not saying that there is anything wrong in the bible. Its a great book by a great revolutionary man.Whenever there is apassage i come across.I marvel at it.The depth the intensity of it.The piercing of it.But most of times i feel people who brag about it.Really know nothing about. For example when He says "U may not enter".It means U ur ego cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.I have people taking it literally. That we are so bad that we cannot enetr kingdom of Heaven.Very rarely i have seen somebody interpreting Bible with his own inner light. It is just sung like a parrot.Common we are better than that.Lets give honor to the great man not degrade it.The major choas happening in the world is courtesy such parrots.Bush is killing innocent people in iraq and he vetos the bill against stem cell reasearch saying i have saved innocent lives.I am a moral man.We would be idiots if we did not see the hypocrisy in this.Where is ur morality in iraq Mr Bush? love and light be upon us.

they say history repeats itself. and we all know its true. I believe that what’s going on in Iran and the whole middle east is the same as what happened before ww2. you’ve got Germany and Hitler (Iran/Syria/Lebanon and all the terrorist regimes), then Hitler turns on the jews and begins executing them (as is now this very moment in Israel) and because of global tolerance, Hitler grows to a super power, recruits japan, and the free world losses millions of lives in a war that could have been prevented ( our president has convinced congress to try and prevent the middle east from becoming the next out of control problem, but the media makes him out to be an evil war monger, reasoning that he lacks "tolerance" and needs to butt out of the middle east's problems). I don’t know about you, but this scares the hell out of me. I don’t want another world war, I want to finish this war on terror so we don’t have to see millions of innocent jews, and our service men die.

My boyfriend says that there will never be a woman president, but if Hilary runs I know that I'm going to vote for her. I've heard from a lot of people who voted for Bush say that they would vote for her as well. I think she would win. What do you all think?

If all the candidates running in 2008 were pro-choice, and you vowed never to vote pro-choice, what would you do? Sacrifice your morals in the hope your one vote would maybe make a difference? Or abstain from voting, then have everyone tell you it's "none of your business who wins."
