I think that the most culpable are the people who recruit the typical young and impressionable to become homicide bombers. That's a more accurate description, since the goal is to kill as many people as possible.

To those who say that this is a natural reaction to resist the oppression of American occupying forces, I say bull feathers. This is an act of cowardly rage carried out against against innocent victims.

The parallels to rape are hard to ignore. It's an act meant to humiliate and destroy the victim(s). And sex is a key reward for both the criminal rapist and the jihadist martyr.

Can we imagine any civilized culture that recruits its most impressionable youngsters and then induces them to commit horrific murders with a promise of unlimited sex with 72 beautiful virgins.

The real cowards are the proselytizers, the religious fanatics and teachers who brainwash those youngsters who look up to them for leadership and guidance. It's molestation of the highest order.

That sex is part of the inducement is no surprise. Just ask any child molester how easily a young man will let down his guard where sex is concerned.

I think the Martyrs realized that "paradise" is full of the child molesters cause they are all virgins. We haven't killed that many lately here in the states so we better get "frying" some more.

ummm, not really....suicide bombers truly believe that what they are doing is the right thing to do to throw off the repressive americans. im not at all saying its right, but look at it from their point of view. i mean, would YOU want someone occupying your country and not really giving an answer as to when theyre gonna leave?

I can think of terms more appropriate to describe both. They both should be treated in the same way: executed.
