Palestine forms its own sovreign state and Israel leaves its neighbors alone.

Stop bashing my premises.

Look I understand that everyone in the region has a different opinion about Israel founding and right to exist. That is not the question. Aggression? There was plenty, first in the seizure of the land and then as a rebelion against it, which continues to this day. Do I realize, BLAH BLAH BLAH! Do I realize the crusades where a response to the invasion of Islam into European society during the youth of Islam?

Will a mature Palestinian Democracy help?

The animals? Historically the "animals" are White men. Savage, warlike, powerful, and driven by finacial success and power. The success of "advanced" governments and Capitalism undoubtedly assisted them in the coquering and subduing of many peoples. Wether it is because of their correctness or not is a matter of debate which still continues (capitalist pigs and whatnot). The side effect being a great deal of power to destroy things, not always used properly.

Hitleresque? What?

To fadia, the hope is that as the early palestinian government ages it will realize the desperation and destruction of war only destroys, and become more conservative in their thinking. Also, realizing that an idealism that Israel should be destroyed is simply unrealistic, at least at this point they will find it near impossible to have the upper hand.

As for the prophecy people, well perfect peace I would not expect. Both sides will continue to have fanatics, simply because of religious region. Attach a combined religion or actual peace of considerable duration with some kind of political peace document and you tread a deadly line toward prophecy. The prophecy implies some type of control of religious expression including either regulation or falseprophet, likely both. I haven't seen it yet.

As an American with Palestinian parents, I wish that I could say yes for sure. It is, of course, a rhetorical question you are asking. Israel will never allow a sovereign Palestinian state or leave its neighbors alone, because many Israelis believe in Greater Israel, meaning expansion further into Arab Land. Still, even if I stretched my imagination to get to that hypothetical situation you are talking about, where reasonable humane Israelis governed Israel, I wonder if that would be sufficient. Palestinians would need serious financial help to have some material infrastructure where Israel has destroyed theirs, means to make a living, and free relations with all other countries. Hatred and religious fanaticism grow from despair, injustice, and poverty. Is it not too late once militant Islam took roots in Palestine and some of the population of other Arab countries? I can only hope that it is not too late. In any case, Israel should do what's right and fair, or we'll never know.

The answer is no. The problem is not really one of questioning Israel's right to exist. You can question that right all you wish. The problem is that those who question Israel's right to exist keep calling for the total destruction of Israel. Hamas has stated time and again as have other terrorists groups that there can be no peace until Israel is eradicated.

Issac: Who would have America form alliances with, terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hamas? Don't see it happening anytime soon, but thanks for playing our game.

fadia: Since you are of Palestinian descent I can see why you would hold the opinions you do, and while I wish the violence would stop in the Middle East, some of your conclusions lack a realistic view of the actual circumstances. It is not the Israelis who are proclaiming for the whole world to hear that they will not rest until Israel is destoryed. It is not Israeli citizens who are embracing terrorism and strapping bombs to themselves to detonate in civilian populated areas. While I will admit that when aroused Israel can be extreme in it's retaliation, I am sick to death of self righteous people who consider themselves ill used after condoning terrorist tactics. While I do not direct this at all people in the Middle East many are guilty of this mindset.

I'm afraid there will be no peace in the middle east until the end of time. Israel and Palestine have been fighting for thousands of years, and I'm afraid the only thing that can settle this is "divine intervention" (that being prophecy coming to pass, etc.).

sure, yet there is plenty nevertheless left undone in the previous peace will ever be restored. while Jesus returns and gadgets up his kingdom for the 1000 365 days reign in the worldwide, there'll be peace in the middle East besides via fact something of the worldwide. those 1000 years would be showing guy what we are able to do while working in finished cohesion jointly rather of against one yet another.

The G8 and other world leaders needs to send some peace keeping troops to Israel and Lebanon. The U.S. has to stop taking sides with Israel.

Israel left its neighbors alone and since HAMAS was elected into office they are now soverieign.

Why dont you do some homework before you post hitleresque rants.

Israel left those GREENHOUSES fully ready to produce (no pun intended) and the savages got there rocks off (again no pun intended) by destroying every last one of them.

So tell me again who the true animals are?

No. Peace will happen only when the Syria and Iran are dealt with. Until that time they will just keep financing and supplying terrorist groups with money & weapons.
