..then we would never leave, we could tax it, and there's all that oil too!!!

We could take control, make all the Iraq people who wanted to stay US Citizens as well.

Think about it...yeah sure there will be ugly things going on for awhile, but pretty soon after a few decades it would look like Nevada.

Waht do you all think about that idea? Let's make Iraq the 51st state!

my father in the last 15 years has worked in 5 different hospitals, each one of them had loads of money spent on it by building new departments etc then a year later they were closed down.

he now works in another hosptial and they are currnetly spending millions in refirbishment etc and now there are rumours of closure even in the papers,
i work also for the nhs and where i work we have just had a load of remoddeling etc and now there has been a meeting to decide our future one of the options and the most likely is, closure, i wanna know what the hell is going on. i feel they are creating a need for private hospitals they are getting the buildings ready so privatisation can just move in. what are your views

If so, will they be any different than the "investigations" they conducted in the '70s, '80s, and '90?

You know, the ones where they parade the CEOs of The Evil Oil Companies before Congress while the pols preen, pontificate, and generally make asses of themselves and, when all is said and done, literally NOTHING comes of the "investigation".

The reason, of course, is that The Evil Oil Companies are in the business of taking a commodity, modifying it, and then selling it. They don't price fix, cheat on their taxes, rob their shareholders, or any of the other dastardly things that others of The Evil Corporations are always doing.

So, exactly WHY will the Dems be sponsoring "investigations" of The Evil Oil Companies as soon as possible?

I would consider an illegal employer a betrayer of his own country. A far worse crime than an alien who has no allegiance.

You far-left wingers tone it down now; I'm looking for realistic estimates - not your dazed and confused rantings about various and sundry things that are on your "minds"!

And, yeah, yeah, I know: Bill doesn't do anyone, they do him. I realize the World's Smartest Man doesn't give, he only takes, but you get the idea anyway, right?

3 - What do you think about clean air (i.e., high prices = less fuel use = cleaner air)?

4 - Which is more important: low fuel prices or clean air?

5 - Lastly - why do The Evil Oil Companies and The Evil Republicans keep prices so high if it results in cleaner air - don't they want dirty air?

If you are so passionate about the right of your Palestenian brothers that you are willing to die, kill for them then why dont you opt for a simpler solutions. Why not resettle Palestenians in your own countries. Your countries are rich with oil wealth and most conuntries will contribute for this noble cause.

To see that they respond suffered these to me…

Splinter republican groups hold punishment beatings, Michael Stone (a "protestant extremist" according to YAHOO news) is arrested after claiming he had thrown a bomb into the Stormont Assembly building. Is it only the real people of Northern Ireland that want peace and democracy and that the extremist groups in the province like creating a climate of fear and don't want to see it disappear?

I would like this question to be answered by residents of Northern Ireland only, or by experts in Northern Ireland politics.

What happened to the anti-war party ?
When in the past republicans supported the draft many liberals denounced it and were against it. Now I see that Liberals are for the draft just because someone from there own political background has proposed it.
I would expect this behavior from republicans and conservatives but it seems that the dems are just as fanatical and blind in there support of there party.
