This is a serious question. I'm not trying to put anyone down. This is my real world experience, and I would like to know what others experience.
In my experience, I've found that people who consider themselves Republicans do not like to talk about politics. I'm not talking about trying to incite a debate with someone. When something political comes up in covernsation, whether I'm participating or just overhear it, I've noticed that they usually do not know much about the issue (and I say this because they just talk about who they like, and do not talk about anything deeper - like what they like about that person or their views); and if they find out that someone does not support Bush, then they just say "I'm not going to talk about this. Let's not talk about politics." These are the same people that talked freely about politics when Clinton was President. Has anyone else noticed this? If so, do you have any idea why this is the case?
