what part did Iraq play in 911? If not, what is the war in Iraq intended to accomplish? In spite of all the reading I've done (or maybe because of it) I really don't understand what we are doing in Iraq.

No, it was just an excuse. Iraq had nothing to do with it. Saddam HUssein had nothing to do with it. The, mostly Saudi Arabian terrorists had no ties with Iraq. Yet, still people believe that justice is being served.

Aghanistan was the first casualty of the 9/11 retributions. But even that had been planned well in advance of Sept 11th.
Iraq was next in line because the US had an old score to settle with Mr Hussein. Now it's turned into the stupidest, bloodiest, mess in modern history.

The Iraq War is about establishing a major US presence in the Middle East (the biggest US Embassy in the world is being established in Baghdad).

It's about controlling the oil, (and it is the CONTROL of the oil that is key here).

And it is NOT about establishing Democracy, (a US-controlled Democracy is not a Democracy at all).

It is NOT about relieiving the Iraqi people of their suffering under Saddam Hussein. (It was US sanctions that caused the almost overnight decline of a once highly prosperous and educated country, and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of children through lack of basic amenities, medicines, clean water, etc).

And it was NOT because Saddam Hussein was not complying with UN inspectors. At the time the Iraqi War began both the leading UN weapons inspector and the head of the IAEA both concurred that Saddam had indeed disarmed as ordered by the UN. (A report completely ignored and even refuted by Bush and his cronies)

I personally feel Bush had several things on his agenda to achieve in the IRAQ war. First it was to get revenge on Saddam for almost killing his father, the 1st George Bush. Next, I think after 9/11, Bush wanted to establish an area in which he could fight the terrorist and all would flock to instead of heading into the US directly. That way, if you were a terrorist, you'd go to IRAQ instead of US homeland, cuz' it's easier to attack American interests and troops. Another reason was to hope to create like a democratic government there where this would be the 1st and all Arabic governements there would seem to follow. Create like a domino affect or something. Those are the reasons I believe why we are in IRAQ. However, I do think we should have never invaded IRAQ, I think we could have continued containing Saddam like we did and he didn't even have the chemical weapons we thought he had. It's worst now, back then Bush had a choice, keep Saddam, the devil, or now face with a new devil. The terrorist & Iranians.

Iraq played no part in 9/11. Abbreviated version: You need to go back to 1989 when Saddam invaded Kuwait. It really put the middles Easts panties in a knot. They felt that if Saddam was successful then they would be next. So along with the UN we put together this huge coalition and put Saddam back into Baghdad and we wrote a whole bunch of resolutions and developed the oil for food program so they can eat and get medicines. All trade was to be cut off. And since there was plenty of evidence of WMD we wanted inspectors in there regularly. Well Saddam being the jerk that he is, wasn't playing along. Hell even clinton bombed him once. I think we took out a janitor. Saddam kept jerking the chains. We then found out about the monies flowing to France, Germany, Russia, and the UN to let Saddam pretty much do as he liked. We had had enough. The man is dangerous, very dangerous. Anyway....you know the rest. We had UN approval before, and we went to them again, but they were too into Saddam for payoffs to vote our way, so we and the coalition that wasn't on Saddam's payroll went back in. end of story

Why the US policy went wrong in Iraq? When most of the Iraqis were happy to get rid of Sadam
And met the American Army with candies and flowers
. The Israelis and the Israeli lobby have a deferent policy than that of the Bush Administration and they were able to start that policy through some of their men in the Administation. The end game for the Israelis is to keep the American ARMY in Iraq for a long time to come.
The Iraqi Army is 75 years old and they all hated Sadam they were forced to fight many unwanted wars where more than 800,000 people were killed in Sadam’s wars.

Those are the people who are fighting now in Iraq the American Army. The baath Party is 50 years old it was founded by Christian ARAB and the Party is legal and active in most Arab countries and it is in Power in Syria.

Bad policy was no more baath party too in Iraq and those who were jailed by Sadam have no future in the new Iraq and some of those are fighting in Iraq now.
So the Israeli policy was to create an enemy to fight the Americans and to keep the US Army in the Middle East forever and fight the same enemy. The Iraqi bad policy was created by one of the Israeli big lobbyist Richard Parle
And his man Hammed Shalaby

Which country in the world is benefiting now from Iraqi war and not losing anything?

Israel is now the main food supplier to the American army the Israelis are making money out of the Iraq war
American boys are killed in Iraq for Israel not in the defense of America
keep in mind The Israeli government prayed for the attack on Iraq, which has eliminated the strategic threat posed by Iraq. America was pushed into the war by a group of Neo-Conservatives, almost all of them Jews, who had a huge influence on the White House. In the past, some of them had acted as advisers to Binyamin Netanyahuwww.nowarforisrael.com/

The people wanted the war with Iraq wanted America to believe it was for 9/11...

Something like 80% of America believed Iraq had something to do with 9/11 when we went to war with Iraq...

However the Bush administration themselves said Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, even though they had early.. the withdrew those statements later...

Then they said it was about weapons of mass distruction, but of coarse we still haven't found any there. We know Iraq had them at one time, since the US sold them to Iraq... but we can't even find the ones we sold them.

I think it's alot deeper... but I wont get into that here.

The government would like you to think so, but in reality the answer is no. As to explain why it is quite complicated. I belief Big oil companies play apart , also it is my belief that after 911 the military wanted to go after Bin Laden but the Arab Nations wouldn't allow it. I belief they gave us Iraq just to appease the American people. We wanted someone to pay so Bush made up the WMD and other stories.

They apparently did not have a direct part in it....however, Bush did say, if you helped....in anyway....you were to beware of the wrath of the USA......it is a fact that there was an affiliation with Al-Qaeda, and even a training camp in the northern part of Iraq. So, they were next in line
