1 The US believed they had WMD becuse we (US) sold it to them . They bought the Anthrax Cultures from us .( actually from the university of Illinois I believe)
Not saying it right but in 1986 Iraq was able to purchase Anthrax cultures , they also used Sarin a powerful nerve aganst aganst the Iranians and the Kurds .
So saying they never had WMD is a blatant lie BTW they bought the technology to make Sarin form the Germans

I'm affraid we may never know for sure. There is a working theory that the WMD's were moved to Syria: However I actually find that hard to believe with todays satalite techknowledgy that we wouldn't have picked that up or something. I Actually believe Saddam either wanted or had WMD's and I can't give a reasonable answer as to what might have happend to them I wish I could.

WMD's allowed Bush to do what he wanted. By the way, WMD stands for Weak Minded Democrats. As far as the weapons Saddam may or may not have had, he did allow inspectors into the country and they couldn't find any and neither has the U.S. since the invasion. I'd personally like to believe that there were or else another president has lied (sigh) but since God spoke to Bush about Iraq, God wouldn't lie, would she? Or is that a lie as well.....

First of all, the poll more accurately reflects the level of desperation we feel as Americans for having gotten in an untenable and unbelievable situation. In this case, the desperation is called "DENIAL." It's like you would have a terribly hard time believing that your oldest and very successful son could really be the serial rapist/murderer that the police say he is. Well, there aren't a whole lot of us that want to believe what is being said that we have been responsible for in the Mid East over the past few years.
WMD would give us the plausibility we need to restore our faith in the American way.

some conservatives base the "syria move" on what two Iraqi generals have said...
I personally don't trust Iraqi generals very much... call me crazy... especially when it's your only evidence that it happened...
we did find some old WMD (according to the White House and Department of Defense... but why believe them... right?) ... but those weren't the ones Bush said were manufactured post-gulf war... which are the ones we went to war over...
why would Republicans want to believe Iraqi generals more than the White House and U.S. Department of Defense? It seems they are desperate for anything that agrees with their ideas, no matter how shaky the source is...

The only "WMD" that Iraq had were the ones we sold them.
Besides, a soveriegn country has a right to defend itself with weaponry. What other kind of weapons would an army have other than those of mass destruction? Bushie gave the weapons a scary nick-name and now we expect Iraq to defend itself from an invasion with pea-shooters. Nothing they had was ever a threat to America. Absurd!

No. No WMD existed. If they had, wouldn't Saddam have used them when attacked in the 'Shock and Awe' campaign?
Thinking there were WMD is just wishful thinking, the kind of suspicions the powerful often harbor against the powerless.
Let it go.

The Israeli government prayed for the attack on Iraq, which has eliminated the strategic threat posed by Iraq. America was pushed into the war by a group of Neo-Conservatives, almost all of them Jews, who had a huge influence on the White House. In the past, some of them had acted as advisers to Binyamin Netanyahuwww.nowarforisrael.com/

Some were found in Iraq not long ago and the rest many believe, as you do, were removed to Syria.
