Speaking of intolerance and ignorance. Why do ppl have to be so negative? Why do you have to make fun of others just because you don't agree with what they are doing? First of all, what they are doing is not harming you or anyone else in any way...also, they are doing what the Bible says to do...they are spreding the word about the bible. ALSO they have accomplished things that no other religion even does...such as: they have preached to every single territory in the world...even the ones that only have 3-5 ppl. or less. They keep track of everything that they do, every door that they go to every person that they talk to about God. They really have sincere hearts. I studdied with the Witnesses for almost a year, and I learned a whole lot about the bible. ALSO they do not use "THEIR" version of the Bible, they use a translation that makes it easier to read...without the the and thou...they also use the Kings James version...its all the same thing. So, if it bothers you so much that they come to your door, just say "i'm not interested, please dont come back" they have a list of ppl that are interested and that are not...so they wont come back, at least for a year or so, because ppl move so much, so there could be someoen new in your house. So, there is no reason to be so rude to them, they are very kind, helpful, understanding, and they are really doing all the witnessing for a sincere reason. So before you go spouting off stupid remarks, research what you have to say, because you are dead wrong. They are very good ppl, and they go by what the bible says.

There has been a crime committed. And Jehovah is being accused daily of being guilty. Just take a moment and look at so many of these questions on this site. Jehovah is being accused of murder, causing natural disasters, being the reason for all the suffering that we see in the world. What if your father, or someone you loved was being accused of things he didn't do? What if he was on "trial" for a crime he didn't commit? Wouldn't you stand up infront of everyone and be a witness for his defense?
That in effect is what we as Jehovah's Witnesses do, we try to help people understand the truth about our God. Satan would like people to think that it is Jehovah who is causing all of the trouble on the earth today, when in actuallity, it is him.

Jehovah's Witnesses bear witness concerning Jehovah, His Godship, and His purposes.
(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah
(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.
(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus
(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”
Really, everyone who respects and obeys Jesus Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.
(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house
Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?
(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

Funny.. :o)
But seriously, I was a JW when I was a little girl, and aside from the somewhat obnoxious preaching, they are really about the nicest people you can find in the world. Very trustworthy, very kind. As I grew older, I came to disagree with a lot of their teachings and interpretations of the Bible, but as for the people themselves, they are really a very nice group.

I personally have witnessed enough of those door knockers. The Witnesses also do not read "The Bible." They read "their" version of it. We all have our own beliefs. They just have the most annoying belief of bothering everybody. If you read the Bible you would see that "Street Preachers" go against God's word.
