Consider the debate regarding invidivual responsibility for wealth or poverty vs. social responsibility for wealth or poverty. Have Americans resolved this issue yet?

I've heard many people saying that the reason the U.S sent troops into the middle east was for oil. Now I've been thinking, if we went in their to steal oil, wouldn't that make oil prices go down? All behold the hypocaracy of democracy.

I hate to see these people with kids hanging all over them! They line up in the welfare office in my town and get boku cash and foodstamp benefits. Funny thing is that they and their kids are totally decked out in gold, nikes, Sean John, ect. They pull up in nice cars ect.
I thought you had to have less than 1,000$ worth of assets including cash. Also I see legitamate people with debilitating illness's mental and physical get turned down! Because they are single adults. I guess if you keep poppin em out the better the state pays. These people have to resort to homeless shelters and soup kitchens and evictions. There only crime was being disabled!
SSI/SSD takes a while to kick in. What to do in the mean time?

Bush sr. : 4 years as Pres, 8 as VP
Bill Clinton: 8 years as Pres
Al Gore: 8 years as VP
Bush W. 8 years as Pres

It would be 24 years of rule by the same two families (Bush and Clinton)
or 28 years of partial rule if you count Bush sr. as VP
and if you add in Gore's stint as VP...

That is over two decades! I asked this question before...but here it comes again....because it's not the way democracy is supposed to work....do you agree? We need to mix it up.

that's why they call them "represenatives"... right?

so, why would you want someone in office that "does whatever they want to and doesn't bow down to the 'public'"...

if we elected someone... we gave them the job, and we are their boss

That's like having an employee that just does whatever they want and doesn't care what the boss says... isn't it?

Doctors have noticed that the George Bush of the past was brighter and sharper. Now the evidence shows that Bush has signs of presenile dementia.

Are these symptoms due to years of cocain and alcohol abuse? Is this the reason Bush sounds like a crack head. Can this be the reason for idiotic decisions and record low approval ratings.

Bush said "he talked to god and god said invade Iraq". Most people thought he was full of crap, but could it be that in his messed up mind he actually thought he was talking to god?

Some expert doctors think so. You can see the evidence and make a judgement for yourself. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/video1019.htm God help us if this nut starts WW3.

Seems to me that neocons have no problem calling me a commie because I am a liberal. Communism is basically where laws are voted on by the masses instead of having representation. This makes fairness towards minorities very difficult. The state goes by what the majority votes on.

They say this as though that is bad... right.

Then they turn around and say well the majority of ppl want marriage to be between a man and a women. ... that most ppl have voted for that therefore since the MAJORITY says it should be that way then is should be.

If we went by this form of gov., schools in the south would still be segragated and women wouldnt have the right to vote .

Anybody else sensing some hypocrisy here?

My view on Affirmcative action as it is now is that it is not discriminatory to whites. Affirmative action just ensures that all people of every complexion and gender are given an equal chance in the working world. If Affirmative action were the other way around I would probably have a different view on it. Please don't attack me with your insults, just answer the question with your opinion.

Please read past first paragraph.

I was wondering, and im not trying to be an ashol, but why was it allright for 400,000 whites to willingly die for blacks, but its not ok for a multicultural force to free 12 million women and 3.5 million oppressed minority men in iraq and aphganistan?

Personally, I hadnt thought about it this way before, so Im pretty sure that most liberals havent. Do you think its worth the lives, or do you think there was another way.

To me, that makes it worth it. I would die if I knew that I could free one woman like my mother. I think we owe it to them.
