someone please explain this to me, because it doesn't make any sense to be the richest country in the world but we can't afford to feed the kids we have here. or even give them proper medical care (for young and old). If anyone can give me the right answer. and not some smart *** one, it just might restore my confidence in this countries polititions.

Recent polls from CNN show that the republican party will be out this election. Is this the break America has been looking for?

The issue of outsourcing has come up frequently. I am just curious if there is any statistical data on the number of jobs have been lost due to outsourcing. 1992 was the year that the NAFTA agreement was signed. It was also shortly after that the textile mills of North Carolina started having difficulties staying competative with fabrication costs...and then many people were layed off. This was the beginning of outsourcing. So imagine, if you will, how many people in the US have lost jobs because of this?

Do you think there was a fundamental "values swap" between the Democratic and Republican parties in the past? Considering that it was the Republicans who freed the slaves and struggled to give blacks civil rights in the reconstruction-era South, while the Democrats started the Confederacy, and instituted and upheld Jim Crow legislation and Segregation for nearly a century, how did people come to associate the Republicans with the needs of the wealthy, whites, and big business, and the Democrats with the needs of the downtrodden and disenfranchised?

I mean come ON. First there were weapons of mass destruction- and then there weren't. Second, kids are starting to think that "Nu-cu-lar" is the correct pronunciation of "Nuclear" BECAUSE of him. Third, he has said so many stupid things I don't know where to start... So why is he an idiot and WHY did he get elected as president?

I recently had a conversation with 3 rather charming individuals from all over the globe. It was rather interesting to hear thier views and their misconceptions. Please only answer this question if you are from another country and please be mindful of using statements containing the word "all" (i.e not ALL americans aprove of Bush)

If the UN had sentanced harry Truman to death after taking the lives of all those from the A-Bomb. How would the world take it if France was the "world police" and came into the USA and demanded we surender OUR weapons of mass destruction and held Bush in Guantamo bay for war crimes? And crimes against humanity and religion.
