Well, 1) You might've forgotten the fact that Americans are not as united as Muslims are. 2) American is a nationality while Muslim is in reference to religion. Bin Laden is not a religious leader for the Muslim people, and is Arabic (as in from Saudi Arabia), so you should be asking if we feel Arabians feel that way. But I must include, Muslims might just despise Americans because people like you can't differentiate between the leader of a treacherous empire and a religion.

I imagine the emotions are much worse. Bush's face represents mass murder and mayhem with no sign of ending. I cannot truly imagine what horrors these people deal with on a daily basis. Osama's face, to the Americans at this point, represents the specter of a new threat. There has been no more attacks for 5 years. Iraqis deal with daily bloodshed and the intrusion of a very powerful foreign army on a daily basis.

I doubt it. Bush is a legitimate, elected leader whereas Bin-Laden has few followers who follow him for his money and ideals. When Bush says we will hunt down the terrorists and kill them, I could see it fueling their anger and forcing them into hiding. When terrorists say they will attack us, either we don't take the subway for a day or two, or we laugh at them.

Keep in mind, we have freed many muslims. The terrorists do not represent the majority of them.
