For most people, I think its the way the questioning is done-- with total disrespect and disdain.
I support our President, but I do not agree with everythign he has done. I DO have issue with people who are rude and obnoxious when they question and also assume they have all the information in their Monday Morning Quarterbacking. He is privvy to info we will probably never know and I have to remind myself on occasion that even if a decision seems stupid on the front, there are probably things guiding him that we don't know.

Some people are lock kneed yes men with an ego as big as the Commander in Chump. They do not want to think this government(and I use the term loosely)is the best thing since sliced bread. they also forget the Constitution guarantees that people can oppose and question the government. Or that absolute power, with out a check always goes badly.
Maybe they are in denial that they have been lied to. Or that they were stupid enough to fall for the lie. Like a man loosing his shirt in the casino he keeps betting bigger and bigger thinking he will start to get lucky and get all his money back than to just figure he was bested by the casino, take what little he has and get out of there.
Maybe these pin heads should ask them self, if a nation came up with a beam or EMP weapon and could fly here and zap any missile or interceptor from the sky with out getting hit. And they were going to install a government here they thought would be 5 times greater. No marriage or death tax, get all the homeless off the street, free higher education for everyone, food stipend so that no one goes hungry, free health care for everyone etc. BUT, 50,000 Americans, maybe some of their friends, relatives, and family had to die to get it. With many more injured, maybe permanently. How excited would they be to get it? And would they just sit back and say if some of my relatives have to die so be it, I won't fight back to stop it?

I agree, it is difficult to share your opinions on the government without a severe backlash from opposers. I watched Dateline last night and the basic gist of the story was that the country is becoming more red vs blue with communities actually becoming strongly conservative or liberal and attracting future residents by the way they vote (democratic or republican). Basically, this shows a trend that red and blue are less likely to get along if they can't even live in the same community together. Sad.

Because we are living under an administration that equates loyalty to the president with loyalty to the country. The so-called war on terror is being used as an excuse to undermine the constitution and deny people rights and liberties that are essential to the American way of life. People are very foolishly buying into the propaganda that says sacrificing our right of free speech and access to a free press will somehow buy us security.

because they're the idiots that voted in bush for reasons other then finishing the war he started.
even if everyone else believed otherwise I still maintain:
1) the government is corrupt
2) President George W. Bush is the biggest idiot in the world

You can stop asking questions now. People will stil call you an idiot and tell you to live somewhere else? Character determines outcome.

Because Neoconservatives do not allow dissent. In fact they are guilty of many of the things the worlds' most hated dictators have done ... like torture and falsely imprisoning people without legal counsel ...[cough Bush!! cough] Plus they cannot logically and maturely debate the facts without changing the subject, accusing liberals of treason, or suggesting everyone (99.9% of the population) who doesn't believe exactly the way they do leave the country, or without using ad hominen attacks or other logical fallacies.
Simply put, they're crazy.

the problem isnt the questioning.. its the questioning without careful thought and being disrespectful. I dont agree with our president on many issues which i always voice. When i do agree with him i voice that as well. If your going to make outragous statements like George Bush is the Worlds biggest terrorist or hes a nazi or other such nonsense, this is not discussion this is lunacy

The Conservatives don't believe in free speech. With them it's either my way or the highway. Notice no one made insults like that when the Reich Wing decided to bash President Clinton. It's sort of a double standard. Don't believe me? Go to the following question:

I agree, you could ask politely and will probably get better results. It's not about questioning, it's about how you phrased it. Then again there are a whole lot of really rude people on here who don't have any way of communicating other than cursing and name calling. Consider the source.
