I believe it is wrong for several reasons.

1) The baby is a person, so it is, in fact murder. At conception, the baby has it's own DNA and blood type. By the time a woman find out she is pregnant, the baby already has it's own arms, legs and a heartbeat. At 9 weeks he/she can feel pain. The Baby can be born at 4 months and survive. The skeleton is formed in the second month. You cannot tell me that child is not a person, it is, and he/she has just as much right to live as you and me. Ergo, I think abortion at any stage of pregnancy is wrong unless the LIFE of the mother is truely at risk.

2) While I am a little more on the fence when it comes to rape and incest, the fact is that less than 1% of abortions each year are results of these.

3) The are many consequences of abortion on the mother as well as on the baby. During the abortion the mother can hemorrhage, the uterus can be punctured or tore (both of the these can result in the removal of the uterus, meaning no more kids even if the woman wants them), and infection ranging from mild to fatal. Long-term it can also result in severe guilt and depression, miscarriages, premature delivery because of damage to the cervix and tubal pregnancies.

4) "Nor shall any State deprive any PERSON of life, liberty or property without due process of law; nor deny any PERSON within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." 14th Amendment of the Constitution, Section 1 (emphasis added)

5) 98% of doctors take the Hippocratic oath. Part of this oath is swearing to not intentionally do harm. Abortion most definitely qualifies as "doing harm," therefore for any doctor who performs an abortion is violating an oath. I don't know about you, but that's not the kind of person I would want treating me.

Bunchik, 1) who ever said I eat meat? 2) An animal is differant than human beings.

I do believe that it should remain an option whether you or I don't believe it is right. There are alot of things in this world that happen that I don't agree with, but you can't take away peoples choices. I do however feel that if a decision to have an abortion is made it must be done within the 1st trimester allowing no chance of survival of the fetus. If abortion is made illegal you will see alot more deaths related to back alley abortionists. What are we going to do start taking away people's rights just because we don't agree? The way that I feel is when someone makes this kind of decision they deserve not to be judged by you or me. People need to learn to live their own lives and stop worrying about what every one else is doing. Is it better for someone who doesn't want a baby to go through with the birth and then place the baby in a garbage dumpster or in a river or somewhere else to die? If someone doesn't want something bad enough they will try and find a way to get rid of it no matter what laws are issued.

For any of you that think it is about choice.Or you think it is right,go to the link below, spend some time there and educate yourself. Do you know what tools are used? Do you know what methods are used? Do you have any idea how many women and young girls die each year from botched abortions "done in the clinics"? Do you know that many babies are alive after being aborted and are left on a cold steel table till they die, sometimes they are placed in a sink filled with water till they drown.Sometimes they are just tossed into the bucket with all the body parts from the abortions just prior to theirs! Did you know the body parts of those aborted babies are being sold on the market for a very huge profit? In some clinics it has been reported by workers that the remains of an abortion are being placed in garbage disposals"like the one in your kitchen" therefore sending those chopped remains into our sewer system and in turn it is coming back to us when we turn on our faucets. There are several drugs and diseases that water purification plants can't remove from the water...Think ABOUT IT!!!

trinitytough: you are soooo right! Speaking of "the doctors" many do not realize that the abortionist is usually the med student that couldn't quite meet the standards and requirements to work in a hiospital, but planned parenthood hires them.It has been reported that some doing abortions have never been to medical school, they have been trained right there at planned parenthood by the abortionist. Many don't realize that in some cases it has been reported "when complications arise" they will transport the woman.girl to a motel and call for help from there as not to have the clinic be investigated. Many of those women .girls don't live to tell about it!People think that by abortion being legal it protects the saftey and lives of the girls! the same "doctor" that did the back alley abortions are the same type working in the clinics!

I only believe in abortion during the 1st 3 months and then ONLY if there is a serious health risk to the mother or child, or if the woman was raped. I don't think it is right to have an abortion just because you made a mistake.

Unfortunately, abortion is legal throughout all nine months of pregnancy in the United States. Every abortion kills an innocent human being. Every abortion is murder. If you doubt this, take a look at:

Abortion is a very touchy subject, and often sports ambiguous answers. I believe that yes, It should be legalized. The way I see it is that it's the woman's body, and it's her choice. Half of america can't afford the kids they've got, and that's why so many unfortunate children are in abusive foster homes and shady orphanages. Would you rather give up your child at birth, so they can live a life being raped, beaten and abused, or would you rather save it the pain? I'd rather save it the pain.

Each woman knows what is best for herself.
She should have a choice, but should also be responsible. Abortion is not a form of birth control and if done should be in the first trimester.
Before going through with any serious procedure you should speak to a counselor, doctor or someone you trust.

Abortion is the last form of birth control that should be employed. It is the only 100% sure form of birth control outside of denial of our natural urges, which blue-nosed Christians have been trying to ram down our throats since the Puritans. If they don't want to have an abortion, don't have one. Take that right away from women and you will start a very uncivil war.

Believing in abortion as a medical procedure, you have to know it's there....how many women have one every year?? The question if it's morally right is a different answer.

Only abort if it is the first month of pregnancy. Don't wait til the ****** 5th month to have abortion. That is just wrong. The people who said choice are wrong. Choose to do it now or not at all.
