I guess with any organization/community there are opportunities for corruption, but within the medical community it seems there are more opportunities than others. The reason being people are willing to pay a very high price to keep their lives/health. I would like to get other opinions though.

My stepson turned 18 in March. He did not finish high school, he is taking night classes to get his diploma, (or so we are told) He works under the table during the day and still lives with his mother. Child support was never court ordered, we just pay each week, do we have to keep paying now that he is 18? They will be moving out of state in about a month. We live in Massachusetts. Thank you

We have a car that we have for sale signs on the windows and is parked on the road outside our house (as we don't have a driveway). We had a neighbour pass comment that she hoped we weren't going into selling cars.
I'd heard that there was something not right about selling them. We asked a traffic warden and he wasn't 100% sure but had it was illegal andwe should check with the police. We are in the UK.
Does anyone have any further information about this? Thanks

i work for petsmart as a groomer. I've been doing it for 2 months now and for various reasons I no longer want to. One of the reasons being, i want to work my other job full time. My other job has nothing to do with animals or grooming them. I live in a state with at will employment. There is only one clause and that clause is the compete clause. By going to my other job I certainly will not be competing with petsmart. In order to become a groomer there you need to go to their academy. When you have worked enough as a bather/brusher they ask you if you'd like to go and if you say yes they send you to a store with a master stylist where they teach you the trade. They pay you 40 hr weeks at your pay rate to be there. They even offer travel compensation for this. You have to pay 632 bucks for your equipment which is taken out of your paychecks weekly after you've completed training.
They make you sign a contract before you go stating that the value of your training is...

My husband works for the city at a convention center in SF as an attendant/event staff. Last Wednesday he worked graveyard from 10:30pm to 7am. His lunch was around 3:30am and he used that time to get a ride back to our house (which is 10minutes away) to pick up the car so I wouldn't have to pick him up later. He left my house around 4am-4:15am, and then came home from his shift later that morning at 8am. Around 10am, he was called for a meeting with the HR manager. She basically informed him that a "call-girl" came in that morning and complained that she had sexual relations with a worker and didn't get paid. They showed her pictures and she pointed out my husband. She said it happened around 3:30ish and lasted around 45 minutes. Overall, they fired him because his number was in her cell phone. But my husband left his phone charging in the lunchroom before he went to my house. I am positive this is false because i KNOW he was at my house. Can we sue for firing him with no evidence?

SOME GIRL says her some BOY FRIEND(both live in **INDIA**) that
she loves him, she'll marry him & always love him in her whole life.
In consideration of this PROMISE of her HE gives her
1-his love
2-his time & friendship
3-his emotional support
4-his companionship
5- general guidance,advises & suggestions
But after 1 year of affair she says that it was her mistake ..she don't love him, won't love him &won't marry him.
If that man wants to SUE her; can COURT take these all things, as consideration of promise of ''loving always & marriage'' by GIRLFRIEND in India?
Can that man LEGALLY force her to continue loving ,meeting ,talking with him & to marry him because he has given above mentioned considerations in past for her promise?
What punishment (jail or fine) can be given to her by COURT of laws for BREACH OF TRUST in India?

6 years ago, I was arrested for being with my girlfriend (we were only 2 years and 2 months apart in age, I had just turned 18 and she was about to turn 16), and she even testified in front of the judge that I did no wrong (ie. rape, etc.). The prosecutors tried for felony charges, prison time, etc. but my lawyer talked them down to 2 misdemeanor counts - Child Abuse and Lewd Battery.

There is a statute in Florida preventing me from having my record sealed or expunged. I am now stuck with this forever, for not really doing anything wrong.

I just moved to a new city to finish school (pre-reqs for Pharmacy school, which from what I've been told I can thankfully still get into) and have been denied time and time again for apartments here, along with a few jobs.

What on earth can I do? It's frustrating because I've always been a 4.0 student, and never gotten in ANY trouble before or after this.

I'm to the point of thinking of just moving to another country.

Just looking for some hope.

WE hired a contractor to build some add-ons to our home. WE have a written contract stating what he would do and how much he would get payed. Unfortunately we had a misunderstanding with him and he broke the contract after leaving the project halfway done and receiving 39500 of the 42000 dollars that would have been payed to him. The contractor is unlicensed. Is there a lawsuit possible?

But most of these questions are pretty basic and I cant sound biased or anything by these questions. Is there a way to fill these out somehow without lieing, but still making you look like a bad asset to the jury?

I was recently fired from my job as a production assistant on a miniseries, supposedly because I didn't "follow through" on things. However, several people heard my boss saying he wanted to fire one of his permanent production assistants so that he could hire a part-time girl with an accent that he thought was "hot," which is the girl who replaced me. My job performance honestly didn't change at all. I worked ten weeks on this project only to be replaced four weeks before it wrapped. I was the only assistant on set from first shot until camera wrap every day. The other people on the set find the fact that I was fired ridiculous - especially when another assistant who is friends with my boss was given a raise despite the fact that we had the same position, and he was disliked by almost the whole crew. There's a lot of stuff going on with this situation, but I don't know if any of it merits legal action.

I ran out and checked on him, my dog was not even hot!!! i was gone for like 5 minutes max. Was i breaking the law? Is this animal cruelty?

Why is he doing this? I don't know why he would do his--- he shouldnt have anything against my son and I, but it's like hes doing it on purpose.

Is there anything I can do? It makes our back yard smell sooooo bad and I don't want my son to be exposed to it!!!!

In California how long do you have to live at a residence before it can be considered your address? I have been living at the same place for 4yrs now. We recently got new owners who have hired a property management company. Now all of the sudden this management company from hell is telling me that I don't count because my name is not on the lease. When they first met us everything was peachy, their rep said she would bring by an application for me to fill out but it would only be a formality. She assured us that there would be not screening process. After 3 months, no application so I called her on it. She responded by mailing me an application and expects me to pay a $30.00 credit check fee and has left me a voice mail stating that because I am a "guest" who has visited for over 15 days I must first be approved by them in order to be able to continue to stay. This can not be right. I live in Oakland California any insight?

My husband and I have been separated for 60 days now. I filed for a divorce in 2001 and he talked me into dropping it. It cost me a $2500.00 for nothing. Now he has attorney insurance, should I let him file this time? That is what I want to happen. After talking with an attorney he advised me not to let my ex go longer than five months. He said he would establish residency somewhere else and I'd have to go there?

Lewis "Scooter" Libby, former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, was sentenced Tuesday to 30 months in prison for lying to investigators looking into the leak of a CIA operative's identity.

He also was fined $250,000. Libby was convicted March 6 of four counts in a five-count indictment alleging perjury, obstruction of justice and making false statements to FBI investigators.

The 30-month sentence was for the obstruction of justice charge. Libby received shorter sentences on the other counts, to run concurrently.

Some people are saying it's too much. I feel like it's about right and even could be longer.

Here's what the judge said: "People who occupy these types of positions, where they have the welfare and security of the nation in their hands, have a special obligation to not do anything that might create a problem."

I think people should be talking about this instead of Paris Hilton's jail time.

I came home early from class, noticed the back door open, then called the police. Everything had been dug through, but all that was stolen was a laptop, some washing detergent, and a bag of Durritos. The police said that it must be someone at the complex who was watching me and my schedule to know when I would be gone, and it looked like I interupted him when I came home early. He broke in through the window, it was locked along with the doors. Completely not my or my husbands' fault. Our lease isn't up until Feb of next year, but my husband is in the navy and is gone every other month, and is worried that I could have been raped or worse had he not been there, so naturally we want to leave. But they say that since he isn't being "restationed" anywhere, it isn't there responsiblity, so we either have to pay 3 times or rent to get out, our suck it up. Im alone every night since my husband is on night shift. I'm scared, and my husband's worried, what can we do? Should we hire an attorney
