I got a DWI in DC it was a .11 I need to get a lawyer but I dont make enough money to pay one lump sum. I need to get a lawyer that I can pay off with monthly payments. Please help me!!!! I dont have anything else on my record. And I dont have any idea where to start.

I highly recommend you hire a lawyer before going to court. They would eat you up without legal representation. Many lawyers will take a case with a payment plan attached. Work it out with your attorney, I'm sure someone will work with you on a payment plan trust me! You may have to give something upfront but not the whole amount. Best thing to do is start calling around to some lawyers in DC.

why do you need a laywer? your breath test proved you were driving while intoxicated (if were a criminal proceedings, you would have been offered free legal representation). So it seems your case is a civil one. Show up to court, admit that you were wrong (judges love when people take responsibility for their actions). stress that this is your first time (it is your first time right?) and that you have learned from your lesson.
As liberal as this country is, you'll probably get a probation type of sentence, and a minor fine.
