Am I missing something? I see these guys every morning hoping someone will pick them up for a job. They send the money to their homelands and take it out of our economy. Why not help the country that puts food on their tables?

My great grandparents are from Holland. How much are apartments there. Are there jobs availiable? Would it be easy to find an apartment? Would it be hard getting a citizenship there? Bush and pro-illegal alien groups say it is impossible.

Illegal aliens can be returned the same way they came in, back across the desert, or sent out in buses or trains.
After ICE raids on Swift plants, more than 2000 illegals were deported in one day.
If all the law enforcement agencies in the USA enforced the laws they are sworn to uphold, our federal laws, they would arrest any illegal alien they pull over, who is driving with no registration, no license, in the act of burglary, car theft, trespassing, robbery, vandalism, public intoxication, domestic violence, riding bike on the sidewalk or pushing a ratty baby stroller on the wong side of traffic. They should arrest them and turn the illegal aliens over to ICE for deportation. Let them contest it from their own country.
The US could deport about 20k or more a day, that is 7 million in one year.
We could have them all out of here in a couple of years, if we get a fence built and a secure border so they can't get back in.

This will take a few moments to read.More at the link.FABENS, Texas - The prairie where it all happened is quiet now, but for the occasional Border Patrol vehicle passing by. A sign rests near a muddy ditch, "Stop Illegal Immigration," left behind by protesters who have visited in homage to two ex-agents, imprisoned for shooting a drug smuggler in the backside as he sprinted toward Mexico.

It seems almost unimaginable that one moment in this lonely place ignited the furor that rages still — from the blogosphere to Congress — two years later.

A jury convicted the agents of assault, obstruction of justice and civil rights violations. A federal judge meted out punishment: 12 years for Jose Alonso Compean; 11 for Ignacio "Nacho" Ramos. As the two men surrendered last month, demonstrators took to the streets, clutching U.S. flags and shrieking: "What kind of America do we have?"

I am just wondering why so many people call me racist when I say I despise illegal immigration. I don’t like it and im not afraid to say it. I say it proudly.

umm maybe I have been asleep to long but the last time I checked "illegal immigrant" was not a race. pls correct me if I am wrong. All this time I believed that black, white, Hispanic, Native American, etc were races. Never knew illegal immigrant was part of the bunch.

I despise illegal immigration because it is wrong and I don’t understand why so many people fail to realize that it is a crime. What part of "illegal" do they not understand? It doesn’t matter why they are coming here, its ILLEGAL......everyone wants a better life. I want to go to a better school so can I rob some banks for money? Maybe I'll try bank of America first since they love giving out free money anyway without the need for pertinent information.

I could see the tight restrictions being a good thing in southwestern states such as Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. It will serve to keep out illegals from Mexico.

But the Canadian border is another matter.

The economies in northern states like Michigan, Minnesota and especially New York (where I live), depend largely on Canadian visitors coming over and spending money. Fewer tourists mean a smaller cashflow in these states, and we will certainly feel the pinch.

Any thoughts?

I live in Canada with my spouse, a Canadian citizen. We were married 4 years ago. I have both Canadian and US citizenship. I was born in Canada to two American parents. I lived in the US as a child for only one year. I want my spouse to get a "green card" so that if we choose to move to the US, the paperwork will be complete and she can legally work right away.
