Since I am US native American indian I will answer your question.
First of all, hispanic/latinos who came here from EUROPE stole our tribal lands in the southwest.
If you are born in a foreign nation, which Mexico IS, you do not have the legal right to enter the USA to live without applying to immigrate LEGALLY, this includes Mexicans.
Illegal Mexican aliens are not US native American indians.
Mexicanos are NOT indigenous to the land which is the USA, they are indigenous to the land which is south of the Rio Grande, south of the present US/Mex border.
Mexican indians are indigenous to Mexico, NOT to the USA, and hispanic/latinos are indigenous to EUROPE.
According to Mexicos census, 87% of Mexican citizens are meztiso, which means they have mixed blood and their ancestors also came from EUROPE.
Spanish is also a EUROPEAN language.
There has NEVER been any tribe whose homeland was on land which is now the USA which was ever called "mexican", or mexicano, or mexica, or meztiso, or hispanic, or latino, or axtec, or azteca, or mayan. or toltec, or chicano, or cholo, or vato, or essa, or homie.
This land belongs to the United States of America, not to Mexico.
This land which is the USA was once the land of the US native American indian tribes (none of which were ever mexicano), from sea to shining sea. It was never rightfully "mexican", it is not mexican now, it will never be mexican.
If you are here illegally, you are a criminal, in violation of United States federal law, and by law your only rights are to be arrested and deported.

gosh, ignorance all around........... why don't u go to school or read some history books...............
Mestizo's" (of both European and Amerindian ancestry) are the largest component, making 60-75% of the total population. Percentage of Amerindians, called indigenous peoples of Mexic|indigenous peoples in Mexico s estimated between 11% (pure Amerindian) and 30% (predominantly Amerindian). Indigenous peoples are considered the foundation of the Mexican pluricultural nation and therefore enjoy self-determination in certain areas. Indigenous languages are also considered "national languages" and are protected by law. Europeans make up 10-15% of the population mostly descendants of the first Spaniard settlers, although many have German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Irish, Polish, Romanian, Russian and British ancestry, after the waves of immigration that brought many Europeans at the end of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, along with some Euro-Americans from the United States

Well, I identify as white, but I also have a little Cherokee in me, so I'm here legally, right?
Yes, it is terrible what we whites have done to the natives.
But please keep it in perspective.
What did the natives do to each other before we came? The strong made the rules and the weak paid tribute or moved somewhere else, if there was available land. Their diet was not varied and many tribes did not farm. Often, they went hungry or even starved in the winter.
As for the European diseases we brought over--remember the diseases had already killed off a vast number of Europeans--those that came over were those that survived. If we hadn't brought them over then, we would have when the natives' technology had advanced to the point of intercontinental exploration. The Black Plague, which killed at least 1/4 of Europe, came from China. Don't forget most of modern life-saving medicine was developed by Europeans and Americans, too. And we're giving a lot of it away free or at low cost. Natives get treatment at Native hospitals free of charge (I know of a white woman who got her cancer treat free because she was common-law married to an Indian).
As for our conquest: it happens all over the world and has since near the beginning of the human race. It happens in the animal kingdom (and if you're an evolutionist, you believe we're just advanced animals, and that the fittest survive, so you have no right to criticize). "Kamikaze" means divine wind and came from a time when the Chinese navy had set sail to invade Japan, but a storm came up and defeated the Chinese. Kublai Khan was the grandson of Ghengis Khan, who conquered the Chinese and laid much border-desert land to waste which had been productive until then. Today, the Sunni and Shiite Muslims kill each other every chance they get. The Muslims in the Sudan are genociding the Christians. The Aztecs used to invade their neighbors to get prisoners to sacrifice to their gods. Remember Sacajawea was kidnapped by a neighboring tribe and made a slave. This was before those natives had ever seen a white person. She was sold to the man who became her husband. One reason she agreed to guide Lewis and Clark was because she knew it would take her back to her tribe.
Yes, it's terrible what we whites have done to the natives in this country. And to the Blacks, and the Chinese, etc. But it's hardly unique.

precious - Are you forgetting about the white Americans that have Native American blood in them too? Most illegals speak a bastardized version of the Spanish (European) language, and have Spanish blood. I am full blooded, so it's ridiculous to see meztisos argue about who is native to the USA and who is not. It also doesn't provide a valid argument to an illegal invasion, nor does it explain how such an invasion is beneficial to American citizens.
Ditto what Shoshone said.
MsMissy - I would have loved to have lived the old life. Don't flatter yourself.
Natasha - Your recent crop of answers regarding the landbridge, and associating it with racism are obtuse. The landbridge theory is no big deal.

Very good history!
It is true that before colonization many people today that we may call Mexican were Native people living on this land. After colonization settlers drew arbitrary lines in the dirt declaring this the U.S. and that Mexico. Many people do not want to recognize this history. These people have a right to return to their HOMELAND anytime they see fit! And there are some tribes today that still cross the border (meaning there are people who live on both sides of the border and are part of the same tribe) such as the pueblo tribes. This is true for Canada as well.
And yes this land was stolen, no matter how many excuses people come up with that is fact. And don't believe that landbridge hooey either, it is a bunch of scientific racism with more evidence against it than for it.

You try telling the Apache that even the Navaho (from this area) belong in their lands. The natives from south of the Rio Grande are not legal north of the Rio Grande. Besides, it is the infrastructure and economy of the United States, built by US citizens, that people are coming for. They may break in through the reservations, but they don't stay there.

Sure, us whites should take everything we poured into this country to make it what it is today and leave those Native Americans with just exactly what they had when we "stole " their land. Does it still sound like a good idea, Precious?
That might be a little rough on the Indians, you think?
Does anybody really want to live like that again?
Be grateful you live in a country where you have the freedom to question whatever you like. The white man did that for you.
Even if it's something as simple as who owns America .
If you spent a little more time in the here and now instead of wasting every body's time about something that happened centuries ago- people might actually listen to what you had to say.

poor shoshone (and yes I know who you are) he still wants to believe that none of the indigenous people along the border (now Mexicans) were once on US land. He also wants to believe that he is not related to Mexican indians ....I mean he is speaking a uto-Aztecan language if hes Shoshone. But i guess we should let people believe what they want. illegal mexicans come here out of a desire to live a good life. The do the US a service and deserve to be treated with respect. The time has come for immigration laws to be adapted. The majority of Mexicans are indigenous, but I think what Shoshone and others are trying to say is that most of them are not from this country originally.

via definition, those "Mexicans" whose ancestors have been from California, Texas and those Southwest factors taken over via the US, they could be interior of sight to what we call u.s.. besides the undeniable fact that the actual definition of interior of sight American is a individual who's an American Indian, Eskimo, Aleut or interior of sight Hawaiian, and recognized as such via the community of which the guy claims to be a factor. interior of sight human beings might desire to be documented members of a North American tribe, band or in any different case prepared crew of interior of sight people who're indigenous to the continental u . s . and evidence could be presented via a close-by American Blood degree certificates (ie, tribal registry letter, tribal roll sign in selection). i'm uncertain that in the event that they knew the ramifications of being "interior of sight American" and the actuality that, as Mexican human beings they even have extra rights, they might not be in a rush to hitch.

They also have Spaniard within them. Using the logic that you present here - it could equally be said that they should be shipped back to Spain.
So much for your premise since such isn't going to fit in with what you see as the end result, huh?
