Regardless of who you're with, I believe you need your passport.

er....it doesn't matter who you are with. if you are crossing on land, you need a birth certificate. if by air, you need a passport. next year you will need a passport no matter what. and when you get there, you'll need to buy a tourist visa for $17 dollars at the border. if you are going by plane, it's included in the ticket price and you fill it out before you land.

Crossing by other than air, not at this time, but next year anyone crossing the borders will be required to have a passport.

Yes. When you are leaving the U.S. or entering the U.S. you need a passport. It is the law for each individual person to have an passport.

I lived in juarez-mexico for many years, you don't need a passpor to enter mexico via land, if yu are going to go further than the border city you will need a passport to go further in mexico.

No you do not need a passport YET ,, anyways ,, i was just went to TJ last weekend and i dint need a passport ,, the cutoff for passport is going to be April after that ,, you will need your passport.......
