Ive read and looked at all I can find on this and yes the target date was set for 2010.But I agree with others ,don't hold your breath .I cant imagine this happening without some sort of referendum voted on by the people of each country.I can see that it would benefit Mexico, but I have yet to see how this will "help" the USA and Canada.I hope this never happens. It will lower our standard of living. I cant see the people allowing this to happen.

The link he gave you in his post is the Link by the Department of Commerce.READ it its very true, http://www.spp.gov/

this is from the link
The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) was launched in March of 2005 as a trilateral effort to increase security and enhance prosperity among the United States, Canada and Mexico through greater cooperation and information sharing.

This trilateral initiative is premised on our security and our economic prosperity being mutually reinforcing. The SPP recognizes that our three great nations are bound by a shared belief in freedom, economic opportunity, and strong democratic institutions.

The SPP provides the framework to ensure that North America is the safest and best place to live and do business. It includes ambitious security and prosperity programs to keep our borders closed to terrorism yet open to trade.

The SPP builds upon, but is separate from, our long-standing trade and economic relationships. It energizes other aspects of our cooperative relations, such as the protection of our environment, our food supply, and our public health.

Looking forward, President Bush, Prime Minister Harper and President Fox have identified emergency management; influenza pandemics, including avian influenza; energy security; and safe and secure gateways (border security and facilitation) as key priorities for the SPP. The Leaders also announced the creation of North American Competitiveness Council to fully incorporate the private sector into the SPP process.

I would like to know where you read that President Bush wants the US, Mexico, and Canada to be one country before 2010.

This will not happen within the next 75 years. Assuming we haven't blown the world to pieces or killed the ecosystem, in 75 years, there is the possibility that we will be closer to a true global economy. In that case, there is a chance that North America could become a country of some sorts. Chances are that it would be something more like the European Union than one country.

Lets all hope never. Yes, Bush sure does want this, everything hes done points to that fact. The only country that comes out ahead on this is Mexico, that should tell us all what a good deal this is NOT.

Bush does not have the authority to do that so where ever you heard it was full of crap. It would have to be debated and voted on in three separate countries. Since he will be out of office in '08 it seems very unlikely he will have anything to do with any vote on the subject unless he plays Al Gore type games and makes his own movie.

It isn't going to happen in your lifetime, if at all. It actually might be a good thing for everybody but that's another subject.

NEVER! I don't think Americans will tolerate that and Canada is too smart to let it happen. The only country that benefits is Mexico.

If it started to REALLY happen, Congress would hear such an uproar they wouldn't know what hit them. They would be afraid for their jobs!

Bush signed the agreement without Congressional oversite this past fall. It's in effect now:

What I like about "thumbs down" whenever I report this fact is knowing that those "thumbs down" most likely hail from the same ignorant people who voted for Bush! LOL ("God would not have made them sheep if he did not want them sheared.")

Since 1965 when the disastrous Immigration Bill was passed it seems Americans already take care of enough illegals,If we get taxed much more we might as well forget the American dream and become crimminals like them. I mean if they get rewarded for breaking the laws, why cant citizens?

The only way that will happen, is if those who support it win the civil war that would occur first.
