You didn't like my last proposal, called me a red-neck although, yo hecho en mexico. Hablamos espanol, and have lived in a corrupt 3rd world country... I live in a border state and the community I live in is at the very least 1/3 illegal! I teach ESOL classes and have supported fair treatment for undocumented PEOPLE.
So how about this. Evict or imprison all illegal immigrants, throw all of their employers in prison, keep all of their babies and children that were born here in the US and put them up for adoption, because they are citizens and build another "Great Wall" and bury it 45' down with concrete and rebar to prevent tunneling. And last but not least, give all of the 'Red necks' all the beer they can drink and make it open season.... Now I sound like a Republican?

I have come up with a pausible solution that may be supported by many Americans. Here it is: Extend our borders to Panama, make Mexico a Territory of the United States, like we did with Puerto Rico and other providences. We already inadvertently have billions of American earned dollars floating their economy. We will increase economic trade, help with environmental problems, increase agriculture, education and viable space, not to mention the use of resources found south of our border. This also decreases the area of border between countries to patrol.

As a Guardsman, I feel we are pretty stretched thin. I'm looking at my second deployment in the next twelve months and I've only been in a little over three years. Thats a deployment every other year. I really have no desire to spend my little time in the states guarding the border, which I am neither trained nor qualified to do in my current MOS, or just about any other MOS I am legally allowed to train in since I am a female (yet I've still been asked to volunteer several times).
Why, when we are obviously willing to train any Guardsman to do this job, dont we train civilians to do it? With the unemployment rates like they are, it shouldnt be hard to find people for the job. And with the Guard stretched so thin right now, what with the fighting two wars right now with record low enlistment and retention rates thing, why are we giving them yet another job to do?
If they send me down there, I'm letting the Mexicans in.

I'm a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and I dont get medical care. Someone please tell me how illegals get medical care because I want in on this program. The only health care I get is through Planned Parenthood, and you better believe I pay for it.

I need examples of current immigration laws or just arguments that say not enough skilled immigrants are allowed in legally. I need this for a debate.

Okay, just think, there are about 11 million illegals here, give or take. 60% of the 11 million are from Central and South America, thats about 6.5 million people. Now, we have to hire people to track these 6.5 million people down and round them up, if we are lucky we will find employees skilled at both tasks, if not, thats two separate work forces we have to hire. And we have to hire legals, so that means they're getting at least minimum wage, chances are they wont work for that little of a paycheck though. Then we have to get these 6.5 million people on a vehicle. A bus has about 20 seats, three to a seat if we're cruel, thats 108,334 busses, 2 to a seat and its 162,500 busses. A bus gets about 2-3 mpg, so assuming they all start at my home town, thats 665 miles or 24,014,037 gallons of gas. Gas is about 2.10 a gallon here, thats $50,429,477 on gas alone to get illegals out of this country. Assuming they all start in Denver, which they wont. You're willing to pay for that?

It is very difficult to understand what they are saying with their strong accent and weak English skills when I place an order at a drive thru. It is annoying and poor service where I won't even go back to that place due to aggravation over not being able to understand what they say. Let them work anywhere but the drive thru order taker position. Do you get this same problem?

why not aply for a green card .....what's the problem .
If you had a work permit and a green card , you wouldn't have all that hostillity , now would you .
Do you think it's fair to those that came to the USA legally ?
Why do you think your different from all the other people that did the right thing and filled for a green card ?
I'm from Belgium , and that's the first thing I did .

In the yahoo news is a report about a restaraunt owner on the Rio Grande worried about a fence along the border, but his Pepe's place is on the river. Does he have immigrants climbing out of the river and crawling through his restaraunt? If he does maybe he should get a bigger fence, free, by the US govt. Jeff Reed in Mission Texas must realize the facts!

President Bush is building the wall to protect Mexican lives.
The fact is this:
Very soon A bombs from Iran and North Korea will hit USA territory, so a lot of Yankees will be killed, the other will try to cross the border, but they will be stopped by the wall.
So after a dozen of year radioactivity will decay, and you can go to the north safely.
Are you happy with this?

Who should have the right to determine immigration policy?

Should it be the people currently living in the target area? Should it only be the citizens living in the target area? Should immigrants have the right to freely go anywhere they please? Should the country where the immigrants are from have a say?

here is an example...You own a home and a stranger comes in the back door and says i own part of this house You must provide and pay for health care and schools for my kids while I stay here and do whatever it is i want. I Demand that you agree to this because I just want a better life for myslef and my kids. So i'm going to stay in your house because my house is a mess and yours is better. If you don't agree, too bad I'll just gather other stangers around your house and protest that you let me stay in your house.
