For years, conservative open-borders advocates have touted Hispanic “family values” as a prime reason to increase immigration. Hispanic immigrants, these conservatives say, will save America from itself. At a time when Anglo and black families are disintegrating, when society is becoming increasingly atomized and alienated, Hispanics will bring the traditional values that the country so desperately needs. In a classic iteration of the theme, Larry Kudlow wrote on NRO last May that Hispanic immigrants would "become a much-needed churchgoing blue-collar middle class . . . that is crucial to a healthy America."

The truth is now supplanting the fiction. Last Friday, the New York Times ran an editorial, "Young Latinas and a Cry for Help," that laid out the real state of the Hispanic family. A quarter of all Latinas are mothers by the age of 20, few of them married, reported the Times. This out-of-wedlock teen-birth rate is three times that of white teens, and significantly more than that of blacks as well. The Hispanic dropout rate is also the highest in the country — the Manhattan Institute’s Jay Greene puts it at 47 percent...This is the reality of the way things are going. What think you ?

MUST ADAPT.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However...... the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans...... we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle.

Just think about it, educated people, middle and upper class people all have an average of 2.2 kids. The uneducated and poor have have on average 3.3. If there are an estimated 20 million of Mexico's poor and uneducated here illegally, will the meek then inherit the earth?

The Canadian economy seems to be doing well and, from everything I've heard, needs more workers. Canada has great benefits and, from what I've seen, Canadians preach acceptance of "multi-culturalism." Would Canada/Canadians openly accept the large number of illegal immigrants crossing the Mexican border into the US seeking better economic prospects that seemingly the majority of Americans oppose their presence? Would those coming from "South of the border" into the US find Canada a suitable home? Should some sort of pipeline (ie a train or bus system) be built through various points of the US's Southern border into points of Canada to get people there to work? Would this be acceptable to all, to none, to some or is this a ridiculous thought (as it could very well be)? Just curious what people from different countries and all camps on the immigration debate think.

We have easy access to condoms and birth control pills. They are even free to poor folks. I just don't get it. Don't people realize they have control over their own fates? If they can't afford to take care of their kids and have ask the Govt. for help, can't the Gov't say o.k., but as long as you are recieving help form us we just ask in return that you refrain from irresponsible reproduction. Heres a depro provera shot and come back in 6 months to get another one or we will stop your aid.

There I was sitting on the couch drinking a corona and watching my hot tamale doing her strip show, dang i never get tired of that, when I suddenly noticed that I was out of beer, I figured I better get some more but when I checked my wallet it was empty again. I thought I really need to find a way to make more money Suddenly I had a great idea, why dont I take my hot illegal stripper down to apply for welfare, I could really rake in some money and why not everyone else does it. So i called uncle Hose A and asked him if he could get the paperwork, he said he would take care of it for me, cost me a case of corona. The next morning I was off to the welfare office. At first they gave us a hard time then I explained that she was illegal and I was only trying to help her get a better life, they started throwing all kinds of money at us, foodstamps,wic, medicaid, I thought this is great I can quit my job and not have to worry!! WHAT A COUNTRY!!!!!!
