Strange question. Who are 'we', and how is this undefined 'we' going to take away illegal aliens jobs? I know it is a favorite approach of President Bush, but just saying you're going to do something doesn't actually amount to a plan.
We've all heard a lot of tough talk directed at illegal immigrants lately, but lets face it, if we any idea how to even find the illegals we would already be finding and deporting them. The idea that we can take this issue directly to illegal immigrants incorrectly presumes that we even can. On the other hand there are two very visible sources of the problem that we can easily address if we have the courage and intelligence to do so; Employers, and the governments of our trade partners.
I propose we create a new world-wide trade treaty that states that we believe in paying a decent living wage, providing a safe work environment, and minimizing the environmental damage caused by our industry. Then we have all of our trade partners agree to match us in these endeavors, or we simply stop trading with them. Leveling the playing field in this sense is the only way to alleviate immigration woes (since it will no longer pay to risk a border crossing if you'll find the same working conditions on the other side) and to stem the flow of American jobs overseas (why pay to ship goods to America, when they can be created in America for roughly the same cost?). Moreover, we have laws like the one banning child labor because we feel as a society that these things are wrong, but is it not still wrong if we happen to export these abuses?
We'll never catch all the illegal immigrants in the US, but we can bust the criminals in the board room and the criminals on Capitol Hill, and when we do we will destroy much of the impetus for the crime at street level.

I don't think they will ever leave... and to Big Jay 7.... The construction industry is 75% white people and Blacks so don't you worry about who is going to pour concrete and frame houses... for one my husband does it every day....

Do you think we have citizens that are willing to work for ten dollars a day out in the blazing heat, working on crops?
WE need them to do those jobs. I'm not saying it is right, but it is the truth.

I am not giving up my stripper, besides she gets welfare and free medical, I don't even have to work anymore. This is a good deal, hell I am thinking about bringing a couple of more over so we can buy a new house and a new SUV, probably a H2 hummer, don't worry taxpayers will pay for it!!!!!

or spread black tar on a roof.
or pick up trash, or wash dishes,
they do hard work and it is well appreciated.
