The Canadian economy seems to be doing well and, from everything I've heard, needs more workers. Canada has great benefits and, from what I've seen, Canadians preach acceptance of "multi-culturalism." Would Canada/Canadians openly accept the large number of illegal immigrants crossing the Mexican border into the US seeking better economic prospects that seemingly the majority of Americans oppose their presence? Would those coming from "South of the border" into the US find Canada a suitable home? Should some sort of pipeline (ie a train or bus system) be built through various points of the US's Southern border into points of Canada to get people there to work? Would this be acceptable to all, to none, to some or is this a ridiculous thought (as it could very well be)? Just curious what people from different countries and all camps on the immigration debate think.

Canada has a right to control its own immigration laws, just as we do. I'm sure that if they wanted to open their borders, they know how to do that.

An apt paraphrase to our question is: Are all individuals suitable? Incapable of crime? No. And get authentic. each and every inhabitants of each and every u . s . is saddled with with a proportion of folk who basically do no longer cost regulation. Our 3 hundred million is not any different. however the situation of unlawful extraterrestrial beings and falsification of "status-records" here interior the U.S. is a crushing, shattering interest of runaway numbers, the cost of that's in no league for assessment to that of Canada. Our difficulty has a undeniable slant: the final public of illegals indexed here are no longer of a single race yet of a single "LANGUAGE" and way of existence. to place it bluntly, they communicate particularly much completely Spanish and are famed for their surprising and absolute "expression of marvel!" whilst one questions their awful plight in existence. Crud! They could no longer carry a candle to the soreness, suffering, sacrifice, starvation, selection to construct a existence for their toddlers, selection to function under governments with out difficulty for them or their lives... and on and on. Canada would have turning out to be older U.S. draft-dodgers or perhaps some new shoes. None are honorable of their movements. All, although, together, bare no assessment to the unlawful inflow here from Anti-English, Anti-Magna-Carta, Anti-shape, professional-option-ecu-Language hassle makers our government and press are utilising as a gadget to forward a suspectchronic in the direction of elitism. ...

How about 12 million illegal immigrants do you want that many to come there and begin taking your jobs and depressing your wages in Canada because they will work for less and companies will exploit their illegal status to pay them less and give them no benefits and thereby set a precedent of offering lower wages and no benefits to Canadians because you would then have to compete with th illegals for jobs. And do you want to wait even longer for service and pay even more taxes to support the influx of illegals taking advantage of your socialized medicine system. No I don't think Canada wants that but that is what they will get if Bush's open borders crowd get their way. Oh yeaah they will make you press 1 for English and want you to learn to speak spanish so they don't have to assimilate into your society but you will be forced to accept theirs or be called a racist.

Actually, my brother in law, who is from Mexico City, moved there with his wife, because it was easier gaining residency there instead of here in US.....

They wanted a safe place to live and raise a family.....Actually they love it there, they moved to Toronto, and he started a business and is doing great....I think it is a wonderful idea and I have often wondered why some in Mexico don't consider going to Canada instead.....But I think the word is getting out to go to Canada instead of US...
