Why is it that a american person has to wait 6 months in order to recieve medical beniffets from the state, yet the same day i was in there a hispanic women just then applied and was approved??? And when i asked my worker she said it was because there family just got here from mexico and that they have nothing..... I am a hard worker and have always paid taxes.. why am i not able to get help but anyone that is illegal can.....i have never been on welfare ever and all i am wanting is a little help to get by untill i can get a better job.....

This portion of an article in the Times Leader, a Northeastern Pennsylvania newspaper is concerning the ordinance in Hazelton which is gaining national publicity,& support.
“It was a little bit of everything,” Yannuzzi said. “It was the type of immigrant we were getting. All of a sudden, it turned into criminals and vicious crimes. The last killing was the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

Yannuzzi was referring to the May 10 shooting death of Derek Kichline. Two illegal immigrants – Joan Romero and Pedro Cabrera – have been charged in the killing. Graham said Barletta proposed the ordinance “because he wanted to have a way to deal with the lawlessness that was burgeoning through the city. And it just seemed to me that he found the right answer.”

My second visit took me south of Mademrose, far enough to shoot my way out because of my dumb friend thinking he could make eyes at a Mexican girl! I grew up in Cali and have seen all I want of Mexico! My entire family came here from Mexico legally, I am Mexican, however, people still call me racist, WHY? Why is it "race" involved to be against something that is illegal and ruins our school system, medical system, crime rate and tax system? My opinion: I think it's a good compremise for both sides, get rid of early illegals that have no roots in America and keep the ones that are basically American because of time. This country converts people into Americans. Please consider it, we need to act, not argue about this anymore.
