What do you think about America without any immigrants? Would it be better or worse without them?

i love learning about other countries from immigrants. And hearing the elderly speak of life south of the border, but the problem is that America has no culture and those who are coming from say, Mexico, are bringing that culture to the U.S and some people dont like it.

America has not fully developed, aside from baseball, football the hamburger, hot dog chips, soda, MS Windows, most everything was introduced to America from other countries and we must keep those channels open. But like I said the immigrants are bringing their culture over here and it is very strong. We feel like mostly Mexicans are taking control of this country that was just getting over tension between Whites and Blacks. And now we are realizing that they are all of a sudden everywhere (illegals) and because we (whites and blacks) could not get along we were blinded by all the south of the border flags being hung throughout the neighborhoods.

If you ask me Yes this will be a better country without ILLEGALS, economically speaking.
There isn't much about the Mexican culture that interest me, so the culture won't be missed by myself or to many other races.

By the way to electricpole, they are the first Americans, not considered immigrants, and if any one should be called an immigrant it is everyone but the Native Americans. Think about it.

We have come to a place in history when it is necessary to regulate our borders. Immigration is not bad in itself, but people who make Illegal passage across our border, with no documentation, low / no skills, are a menace. Limited skill immigrants worked 100 years ago because they were needed, things have changed.
Immigration is a good thing when well regulated. Besides we need to import more Chinese, Indians, Pakistani, and others as we are not churning out highly educated technical types here at a rate that is needed for our economy to grow.

by the way to "driver"; THE NATIVE AMERICANS CAME FROM ASIA THEY ARE IMMIGRANTS TOO!

of course it would be worse! this is the melting pot...we wouldn't be so rich in all the ways we are-we have so much culture because this is a country of immigrants
the only problem is illegal immigrants *note* illegal. whats illegal is bad...not that the immigrants are bad, but what they are doing is in fact illegal
but like i said, our country would not be as amazing as it is without immigration. i definately think its better with them

Because all of our families came from somewhere. On the other hand, most of us here were born here, so we aren't immigrants ourselves.

Most people in this country like immigrants, but we assume the word 'legal'. It makes a huge difference to us.
