This portion of an article in the Times Leader, a Northeastern Pennsylvania newspaper is concerning the ordinance in Hazelton which is gaining national publicity,& support.
“It was a little bit of everything,” Yannuzzi said. “It was the type of immigrant we were getting. All of a sudden, it turned into criminals and vicious crimes. The last killing was the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

Yannuzzi was referring to the May 10 shooting death of Derek Kichline. Two illegal immigrants – Joan Romero and Pedro Cabrera – have been charged in the killing. Graham said Barletta proposed the ordinance “because he wanted to have a way to deal with the lawlessness that was burgeoning through the city. And it just seemed to me that he found the right answer.”

While that is fantastic......TRULY. Why wasn't Hazelton, PA pimping their stance against CRIME in general BEFORE "illegal immigration" became a political tool.

Why weren't we reading NEWS from Hazelton daily because their stance against CRIME was so strong that NO criminal wanted to live or even drive near that town? Why wasn't Hazelton used as a demo for other small towns who were tired of the criminal element and they fought it?

Why did I NOT know about Hazelton BEFORE now?

I am not downplaying the importance......I just want to know why CRIME in general was not important. I want to know why their citizens were OK before BUT now are GREAT simply because this town took a strong stance on "illegals"?

Hmmmm........coherent enough? Because if it is not......I can retype in a manner you may understand.

Should I expect a new picture on the blog?
